Celerant Stratus Date: Aug 20 2024
Summary: We recently changed over to Celerant Technology, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! Our trainer, Dave, was nothing short of fantastic. His deep knowledge of the system and his ability to convey complex concepts in an easily understandable manner made the entire POS incredibly valuable.
Dave’s engaging teaching style kept us all attentive and involved, and his patience in answering our myriad of questions was truly commendable. It’s clear that he is not only a master of the technology but also a dedicated educator who genuinely cares about his trainees' success.
Thanks to Dave and Celerant Technology, we now feel confident and well-prepared to utilize the system to its fullest potential. Highly recommend this training program to anyone looking to switch POS systems with a top-notch instructor!Positive: This system is amazing! The system is easy to use and it is very customizable.
We use QB online as our GL and the integration worked amazing!Negative: There wasn't much that we weren't able to do with Celerant, Everything we needed was in the system.

Excellent Service by Implementation Manager Date: Apr 30 2024
Summary: Due to Quickbooks shutting down, we moved to Celerant because their platform is very robust and cost-efficient. We have been using it for about seven months now and it's been great, especially because our Implementation Manager Dave Libby is available for any questions at any time, he made the whole process painless and easy. I would recommend Celerant.
Positive: La Mina De Oro Perfumes. 7 locations. 20 Employees. Celerant is an excellent, easy to use, cost effective platform.
Negative: There is really nothing that would be a deal breaker, maybe long wait times when trying to install new stations.

Stay Away! Date: May 08 2024
Summary: We launched Celerant in February of 2023, and our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite the hefty setup cost and ongoing monthly expense, the system's promised efficiency remains elusive.
One glaring issue lies in the abysmal data management within the system. Metrics suffer from an identity crisis, with different labels scattered across the system, causing confusion between barcode variations, product styles, and inventory classification.
The inability to import our own sales data is a glaring deficiency. Our online store remains isolated from Celerant, necessitating their intervention for weekly imports.
Simple tasks, like inventory and stock updates, take multiple steps, doesn't have one process, and often have broken/dysfunctional features throughout the process.
We've had several situations after reporting an issue it's reportadly solved, testing it, and finding out it's still broken (sometimes in a completely different way).
Celerant's blackout periods are a mystery, with no notifications or means to check their site for system outages.
The most egregious offense, however, lies in the indifferent and lackadaisical attitude of the support team. Contacting support has become a weary routine, required even for simple tasks like verifying data imports. Critical issues, such as sales syncing failures resulting in massive financial losses, were met with apathy. Customers faced double charges with an appalling "clear cookies daily" solution, while our staff grappled with continuous system logouts, dismissed as a non-issue for half a year.
In conclusion, Celerant Point of Sale fails to justify its exorbitant costs and systematically sabotages the efficiency and profitability of retail operations. It's an expensive lesson in how a promising system can implode into an unmitigated disaster, leaving a trail of financial losses, operational chaos, and customer dissatisfaction.
I have been working with their team to resolve issues since the start. Turnaround is extremely slow.
Celerant closes support tickets without verifying the issue is fixed. Error screens display code instead of the actual error. We are asked to pay for basic functionalities such as importing our own sales records. Even with someone from client services helping us, we're not seeing improvement in their software.Positive: Excellent sales team. They sure know how to make this software sound exciting. They also say they want to help and are unfortunately backed by a sub-par tech support team.
Negative: Support: Often we receive information and advice from support that seems to have no basis or fact and leaves me feeling they don’t know about the system they’re managing. I do not trust their team.

Data management: We use local servers in addition to our main. Data is supposed to be written between the two, however, there is nothing in place to check the data was written to other servers accurately. -

Don't waste your money Date: Jan 24 2023
Summary: Customer service is HORRIBLE. They make software changes all of the time, you have no idea what they are changing. One day it works, the next it doesn't and they don't have a clue!
Positive: It supposedly has a lot of features. We don't use very many as they are difficult to figure out. The one time cost is not real. I pay about $3500 per year to keep it going.
Negative: They have NO control over software changes. Their solution to everything is a band aid and never fixes the real problems. Software changes don't appear to have any verification or validation work done before they change it.
