Scrubs Reviews

Scrubs Description

Scrubs is a disk-space analysis tool designed specifically for Macs, aiding users in pinpointing what is taking up storage space and facilitating decisions on what to eliminate. It performs a thorough scan of a drive, displaying folder and file sizes through an intuitive treemap and a sortable outline, with the findings updating in real-time during the scan. The application offers both search functionalities and views for the largest files to help users quickly locate items, while it also provides cleanup recommendations for areas such as Xcode DerivedData, outdated simulators, node_modules, and package caches. Additionally, it identifies applications that may no longer be actively used, ensuring a comprehensive approach to disk management. When items are selected for deletion, they are moved to the Trash, allowing for easy restoration through an Undo feature; users are also informed of the space that will be released before confirming any permanent deletions. Scrubs operates locally on the Mac and can perform scans with administrator privileges for enhanced disk visibility. It is compatible with macOS 15 or later and Apple silicon devices. The scanning feature is free, allowing two deletions without charge, while a paid license enables support for up to three Macs, making it a versatile option for effective storage management. This tool not only simplifies the process of reclaiming disk space but also empowers users to maintain a more organized digital environment.
