High Price Tag for Poor Support and Manual Programming Workarounds

    Date: Jun 17 2026

Summary: Our experience with ReSpark has been highly mixed and ultimately disappointing given the financial investment. While the core weight data entry functions fine on a single-scale setup, the software hits a wall in practical, day-to-day operations. Because the system is not intuitive, operators frequently run into entry errors, and the clunky interface requires redundant mouse use and extra clicks just to complete basic tickets, which drastically slows down our lines.

Paying a heavy premium price for software only to be met with poor customer service and slow response times is incredibly frustrating. We have been forced to manually install plugins and fix their programming issues ourselves just to get things running smoothly. We are currently working closely with our own IT department to refine the technical workflow, specifically targeting the synchronization between scale weights and camera images. For the price they charge, the vendor should be handling these multi-scale, UX, and backend synchronization issues, rather than leaving the customer to program the workarounds.

Positive: ReSpark Software provides a solid, dependable framework for handling daily scale weights and tracking logistics under standard setups. The interface is straightforward for operators to input data quickly, which keeps the physical line moving smoothly. It does exactly what a business needs it to do at the primary point of data entry, ensuring that transactions are captured accurately when the hardware configuration is kept simple.

Negative: Customer service is poor with slow response times. The software does not work well when trying to manage multiple scales from a single workstation, causing major operational bottlenecks. The user interface is highly unintuitive, making it entirely too easy for scale operators to make mistakes or misclick during fast-paced operations. The workflow also requires frustratingly redundant mouse use and repetitive clicks to navigate simple tasks that should be automated or hotkey-friendly. Furthermore, implementation is heavily manual—we have had to install our own plugins and handle backend programming adjustments ourselves, which is unacceptable for a high-priced software solution. The technical workflow between the front-end software and backend image synchronization can also be tricky, requiring meticulous IT configuration to avoid real-time data lag.
