You must provide standard information about purebreds such as registration number (RN) and trait information. Multiple ID tags, such as metal, plastic, government registrations, tattoos and brands, can be used. The government has issued regulations requiring ranchers that they place government-issued IDs in their cattle and track transactions involving them since the BSE crisis.
