QuickPlumb Pro is incomplete, doesn't work, and no instructions

    Date: Jun 27 2023

Summary: No. Don't waste your money or time. Learn AutoCAD, it's faster to learn than QuickPlumb Pro, and it works, has support and a complete help file that describes how to use it. QPP has no help in the help file and doesn't work like standard Windows programs - it's amateur and incomplete.

Positive: I like that it can make a 3d model of pipes. (But it is just the building drain to a few fixtures - locked connections means you cannot select DWV fittings that comply with county code. You can't add vents, you can't make an entire project. There is no help, no customer service.

Negative: No help, no service. The software is incomplete - like a high school project. It doesn't work. I spent 2 months - paying in full and never got help from the company. I'm a builder - plumber and used to be a computer consultant for the building industry. This software doesn't work and is a waste of time. It takes weeks to learn it because there's no tool-tips. So you have to experiment with every function, even combining your click on menu order - changes functions, but because it's undocumented, there's no way to know how to use this software. The instructions in help are just 1 sentence descriptions about what it is supposed to be able to do - like a sales brochure.

Waited for 8 months for a response from the developer - still nothing.

So I purchased $2,400 worth of pipes and fittings to dryfit a 30x30 single story house with 2 bathrooms. Hoped I could use this software, but the cut and material lists were totally inaccurate.

Simply put - don't waste your time. It can't deliver what they claim.
