ProM Description

Today's world is a complex place. They are integral to the functioning of businesses, government bodies, and other organizations. Although there are many systems that can be used to support the execution of these processes, current practices for monitoring and analysing their execution in organizational reality leave much to be desired. Process Mining fills that gap by providing innovative methods for monitoring and analysing real-life processes. ProM is an extensible framework which supports a wide range of process mining techniques as plug-ins. It is platform-independent because it is written in Java and can be downloaded for free. ProM is open to practical applications. We encourage researchers and developers alike to contribute new plug-ins. ProM 6 is distributed in sections, which allows for maximum flexibility.
