Pdftools review Date: Apr 12 2024
Summary: Pdftools PDF library SDK is fast and working for me very well. It was so easy to add into my code and get it running from scratch.
Positive: Managing pdf in an application doc workflow is often complex. You need a library where you can deliver the same tools as a user has on Adobe. Pdftools does this better than the key player in PDFs, which is crucial for my users.
Negative: C'est très bon. Voila. What else can I say? From a technical point of view, there is nothing to mention as a con.

PDF functions that just works Date: Apr 08 2024
Summary: Good experience. I have a good relation with their Customer Success Manager and the contacts have been pleasant.
Positive: PDF Tools has a good product and team. It just works and has been doing that for the past year for me.
Negative: I haven't encountered any yet. It's a proprietary SDK so you need to have some money available, but the price isn't insane compared to others.

Nice PDF SDK Date: Apr 03 2024
Summary: Good experience. The documentation was great, but had a specific C# question that the team quickly responded to.
Positive: SDK has a ton of features out of the box. I also liked that I didn't need to sign up for the trial version, it was just there as free download.

Reduces PDF size to reduce costs for archiving Date: Feb 23 2024
Summary: We process huge volumes of documents. We needed to reduce PDF size to reduce costs for archiving. Even 1K makes a difference, because typically the cost is based on storage space, volume.
Positive: We used the PDF Optimizer from PDFTools to do that and it works really great! Out of all the others we've tried on the market is the one that reduces most, without losing quality.
Negative: Not one

Amazing PDF compression for large and interactive files Date: Feb 22 2024
Summary: We needed to send design documentation to customers, the docs are merged and convert to one interactive PDF. After merging files are large, ~ 500 pages. So we needed a solution to optimize the PDF without losing interactivity (JavaScript, fillable form elements).
And also to comply with the regulations, all documents must be issued in PDF format and for legal purposes, the documents must be readable, accessible for more than 10 years.Positive: PDF compression to send large interactive PDFs to customers via email.
PDF/A conversion for long term archiving.Negative: N/A.

Ease of use + PDF/A compliant Edited: Feb 20 2024
Summary: Their tools are crucial for us because we need to ensure high volumes of document processes.
Specially for the PDF to PDF/A convertor, their solution is crucial because other competitors don’t tell you if the conversion was complete or not which is a big issue.
Their software alert when something went wrong and what, that has made the biggest difference for us with Pdftools.Positive: - PDF/A compliant and when the conversion was not possible, it returns the ouput explaining what is the problem with the PDF
- Also the ease of integration within our existing application
- Compression level was higher than other providers without losing qualityNegative: Nothing to say. It does what it says, better than expected
