PV Designer Description
The PV Designer software is perfect for small commercial and residential systems. It allows you to quickly draw a roof outline, specify setbacks and keep out regions, include SunEye shade measurements in specific locations on the roof and drag-and-drop modules. You can also size strings, check the inverter limits, and calculate your AC energy production. It also includes extensive global databases of inverters and modules. It allows you to easily test different design options and compare their AC-kW-hr outputs side by side to determine the best design. The best design tool for designing systems under 15 kW is PV Designer. However, larger systems can be designed in PV Designer. The software is simple to use and easy to learn. However, it allows for detailed analysis that was not possible with more complicated engineering tools.
