Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service Description

Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service provides a secure, scalable and on-demand storage solution to back up Oracle databases to Oracle Cloud. This service can be used to complement your existing backup strategy and provides an off-site storage location in a public cloud. You will need to subscribe to Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service, install the Oracle Database Cloud Backup module, and configure your environment for sending backups to cloud. You can then use the familiar Recovery Manager commands (RMAN), to perform backup, restore and recovery operations, as well as maintenance operations. Other tools can also be used for cloud backups. Cloud backups can be accessed over the Internet with Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service. They are instantly available for recovery when necessary. Data is replicated across multiple storage devices, which helps protect against data corruption and hardware failure. Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service is used for Oracle Database backups only.
