The compatibility it shows really impresses me, it’s like custom-made. Task configurations are piece of cake. I don’t need to keep an eye on it cause the software will send me an email if something’s wrong, like shortage of storage. So, how can I not love it?

Positive: To be honest, Vinchin is the only software I used that supports both VMware and Sangfor, two platforms we currently employ. So, this fact alone differentiates it from other solutions. Summary: Such a great product with a reasonable price, that's why we picked Vinchin. We have lots of VMware vms in our production system, so we figure that the backup solution must be very powerful and reliable. We cannot decide which one until we find Vinchin. The backup is speedy with all sorts of techniques, like CBT or Hotadd. And recovery is secured with multiple guarantees-offsite backup copies and instant recovery in seconds. So, how can we not recommend it?

The features I liked most are the fast and smart backup, the thoughtful offsite backup copy for DR, and file-level recovery. Why? cause that's why I chose Vinchin. They have many subline technologies for supporting these features, like data deduplication and data compression.

Negative: So far, so good. But it'd be so great if Vinchin supports backup to cloud because I prefer multiple safety guarantees.

Summary: We have ovirt to build our data center, and the old backup solution we used is slow and lack of functionalities, so we need a new one that's highly compatible with this platform with higher performance, and Vinchin does well on that. The data backup and restore speed is really fast, especially by using some advanced features it provides like granular restore, we're now able to quickly recover VM from file level, saving us so much time when soft breakdown occur.

So what makes me trust this product this long? The operation is so easy that I can handle to setup a basic backup task in 15 minutes even at the very beginning. As I went on to explore, I find more interesting functions. The bitdetector, for example, performs data reduction in a greater way whenever we need it. The node expansion, for example, expands the backup storage for more VMware data. All in all, it's an excellent VMware backup solution that includes smart backup and efficient recovery technologies.

Negative: Vinchin seems perfect for VMware backup and recovery, so if there's one thing to improve about it, I'd say the p2v. We still have some workloads on a few physical servers and we're planning to migrate them to VMware as well.

Negative: For the performance of existing features, they're all great and we have nothing to dislike with. However, we hope to also backup VM on Amazon in the future.

And every time a VM crashes due to unexpected error, instant restore can always help to reboot it in second, we don’t have to worry about the issue of business downtime anymore.
