Oracle DNS Description
The Domain Name System (DNS), a distributed internet system, maps human-readable names (like www.Oracle.com), to IP addresses. It serves as the first link in customers' digital supply chains. Oracle's globally distributed DNS service provides enhanced DNS performance, resilience, and scalability so that customers can connect to their application as quickly as possible, no matter where they are. Customers can manage DNS updates and domain name management via Oracle's standards-based Authoritative DNS Service. This service provides low-latency global DNS resolution and automatic translation of domain addresses into IP addresses. As a redundant service to the primary DNS service, a secondary DNS is set up so that critical applications are available and end users can reach them faster.
