Summary: We transitioned from another vendors solution to the PSPDFKit SDK after reviewing several products. The PSPDFKit solution offered an easy to use solution that supported current frameworks flawlessly. Additionally, we've had fewer issues with file format compatibility with other integrated systems since making the switch.

Positive: Easy to use SDK with robust feature set for imaging use. Great compatibility with other systems and file formats.

Negative: No issues identified at this point in time. Over the past 12-18 months our experience has been excellent.

Negative: It was a little expensive up front, but not when you consider how many platforms that they provide and the great customer service.

Positive: This product is excellent which lets us customize many features according to our need.
We don't need to add every feature to our license, we can only add the features which we find are useful to our use case, hence its cost effective.
The main features which I like are customizable User Interface,
content editor, office files support and digital signing and also the ability to merge multiple PDFs.

Negative: The document contains a great list of features and functions but I feel that the documentation should be a little bit elaborated with some Use Cases.

Summary: We have had great experience using the library for the native apps for a number of years. Recently we migrated our web product to use their Web SDK to accomplish more close support of Adobe PDF spec, as well as bringing compatibility to mobile web and accessibility.

Their customer support has been very responsive at addressing our issues and incorporating fixes into their bi-weekly patches.

Positive: The best library to use for product development that requires processing PDF files that closely adhere to Adobe PDF spec. The web SDK offers consistent functionality with the native app version for iOS, Android, and has great support for mobile web browsers too. The out-of-box support for accessibility has been great if you want your product to support latest accessibility standards.

Negative: It can be a bit tricky at times to get it working seamlessly in the web due to its use of iframe.

Summary: The PSPDFKit team has a mature after-sales team, which supports our customers very well worldwide.

Positive: Very flexible and powerful pdf tool for the aviation industry, which helps us a lot.

Negative: N/A.

Negative: Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Maybe pricing could be made a bit more transparent on the website.

Summary: Overall we had a great experience with PSPDFKit. If you're looking for in-browser or in-app PDF annotations, I don't think you can go wrong here

Negative: You might need to put in a request for custom functionality.

Summary: Good product compared to other market solutions. Startup time is short to build a POC and easy to adapt to project's needs.

Positive: Good support, good features and easy to customize. The documentation is complete enough. Online demo is useful.

Negative: Heavy distribution, needs strong competencies to optimize

Summary: There is not much choice in the field for PDF viewer and redaction. This is the best one. There are some free open sources being contributed but they are not very stable or not enough features.

Positive: - UI and UX look clean and friendly.
- Execution fast enough considering number of features.
- Most complete web PDF features on market

Negative: - With only base features of PDF viewer, its already pricy. Should have been lower price so it will be much easier for small companies developer folks to convince their upper management for budget approval. Or include all features such as annotation and redact.
- Have not try all but per documentation, there are not enough types of event. When I need to know when the viewing document is printed or downloaded I must use custom toolbar button.
- File *.wasm is still large size after compression so initial static content caching is slow.

Summary: A quite comprehensive solution from a company with many years of experience in the industry. New features are coming due to the evolution of software and M&A.

Positive: A comprehensive set of features.

Negative: Support to migrate from one release to another is rather poor.
Poor support for previous releases.
Expensive compared with competitors.
Too many corporate acquisitions.

Summary: Good product, it's not very easy to setup if you are doing really customized projects that may involve some code.
Setting it up even with just React proved a little difficult, I think you need an experienced dev team to get the real functionality of the platform.

Positive: Really interesting product, it solves a real pain point in embedding PDFs that is really tough to do from the ground up.

Negative: Support is not very good and when you want to make your PDFs really customized, it's a really tough thing to do.

Summary: SUCKED! Product doesn't work out of the box and have to roll your own implementation for such basic things like opening a file and saving.

Go with someone else.

Positive: Sales guy will respond quickly while you're getting setup to buy the product.
Once you buy though, BUYER BEWARE, they do not offer tech support to actually help you.

Negative: Tech support sucks.
They don't offer phone/zoom support to quickly answer questions.
Libraries are horribly documented and half the stuff doesn't work.
HUGE RIP OFF, Go with Pdftron or one of their competitors.
