This free web tool allows you to remove vocals from songs to create karaoke versions. The quality of the results depends on how the track was recorded. If instruments are not centered, they will be removed. The OOPS effect (Out Of Phase Stereo), removes vocals. The OOPS effect is based on the fact that most songs have the vocals perfectly centred while the instruments are slightly panned to the left and right channels. The channels are subtracted from one another and the vocals on the left channel and right channel will cancel each other and disappear. This tool is designed for voice recordings.
