The Nokia Virtualized Service Router is a highly flexible virtualized edge router that can be used in telco cloud environments. It allows for rapid service innovation and lower operating costs. The VSR supports a wide range of virtualized IP edge apps and virtualized network functions (VNFs), to support residential, business, and mobile services. The VSR is based on the Service Routing Operating System, (SR OS). It delivers high performance and elastic scalability in x86 server environments.
