Nokia Virtualized Service Router (VSR) Description

The Nokia Virtualized Service Router is a highly flexible virtualized edge router that can be used in telco cloud environments. It allows for rapid service innovation and lower operating costs. Service providers can increase their service reach, open new markets, or accelerate time to market with the VSR. The VSR supports a wide range of virtualized IP edge apps and virtualized network functions (VNFs), to support residential, business, and mobile services. The VSR is based on the Service Routing Operating System, (SR OS). It delivers high performance and elastic scalability in x86 server environments. The VSR provides the highest level of reliability and resilience. It also offers flexible management options - from working with open frameworks to delivering OpenStack®-integrated VNF management and element management capabilities with our 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM).
