Saved our life with WFH! Date: Aug 27 2021
Summary: We put a Mitel system in about 6 months before the pandemic hit in March 2020 (great timing!). Honestly, it was a life saver when people started to work from home and take their computers with them.
Once setup on Mitel, you send the user a deployment email and its a case of enterting the code on their PC, or scanning a QR code on their mobile and its all done!
Granted they can take their deskphone home, but having a softphone saved a lot of money and made the transition to WFH really easy.
The MiCollab phone app works exactly the same way and people are completely mobile - anywhere in the world! I even used my MiCollab (and deskphone) in China! Nobody would believe me until i showed them the view outside the window!
The main thing to worry about is ensuring that the user has the correct status otherwise things get a litte confusing, but people love the fact they can just sit at their PC and make/receive calls. Having MiCollab has really made a difference to the way we work.Positive: Easy to deploy.
Can be used on PC or mobile.
Integrates with the Mitel handset.
Lots of features to keep people online.Negative: Users find it a little confusing when working from home and then the office.
