    Terrible redundant system

    Date: Feb 02 2024

Summary: This system is probably the most ridiculous system for a busy department. All fields are so repetitive and time consuming. The agency I work for went from a user friendly productive system to Mark 43 which not only extended the time to complete a report, but at this point also lowers moral. Surrounding agencies that have not went live with the system yet are looking for a way to cancel their contract. Mark43 is a waste of money, waste of time, and terrible. Would rate it a zero if I could.

Positive: Absolutely nothing. Expensive crappy system that constantly fails. Agencies want to get away from Mark43 and we cant wait for contract to expire.

Negative: Time consuming, repetitive, hard to use, difficult settings, always has bugs or problems with lack of assistance from staff. Constantly loses your work and doesn't save reports the way it supposedly is designed to do. Too many other issues to mention.

    Poor customization

    Date: Sep 04 2022

Summary: We haven't even gone live with this yet but it's been a continuous pain to get any kind of adjustments made. We are too busy to find and type out an event number to do anything to a call for service. It is too much to type out a simple traffic stop in a fast paced environment.

I am sincerely blown away at the lack of little things this program cannot change.

Positive: Dark mode and it looks crisp. I haven't experienced enough positive things to really spell them out here.

Negative: Cannot even change the colors that indicate unit status or minimize the "Police Unassigned Unit" box to be as small as I want.

The state on traffic stops cannot be defaulted to our state. So you have to type it out.

The street names are in the Road Centerline layer, so all of the street names have a line through it making it difficult to read.
