Summary: Initially, we were considering two platforms: MainEDC and another one. It was a tie but we opted for the first because it was newer. Previously, we already had issues with outdated software and we didn’t want to repeat the same mistake. MainEDC turned out to be a real thing! It offers much more than we could even think of.
At the same time, using it may be a little bit tricky as selected features are not too evident. To benefit from others, you have to think about the settings.

Positive: Innovative in certain aspects and has every feature you may need. In general, we are very pleased that we chose this platform.

Negative: Requires understanding of Clinical Data Management.

Summary: First, I learned to use MainEDC myself. Now, I teach others how to handle it. To some people, it seems sophisticated. But for me, it seems just as intuitive now as Microsoft Office or Google Drive. It’s a very logical and structured product. There is nothing perplexing or irrational about it. It makes the life of DMs more organized and productive. Data management is a crucial skill for this niche and MainEDC is an excellent platform to hone it.

Positive: Helpful, functional, modern and easy to use, logical and structured product. I like this platform.

Negative: Might seem sophisticated at first but it’s just an illusion.

Summary: A must-have program for those, who want to optimise their research and do it at a reasonable price.

Positive: As already mentioned, the analytics and reports are easy to understand. You can pick out of many metrics and features and find the ones that will suit your job. We saw real progress with the study and were fascinated by how much quicker the data processing has gotten. The cost is not that big, especially considering how much quicker the work becomes.

Negative: No, I'm really love this platform. Everything is fine.

Summary: A great help in trials clearly created using feedback from medical professionals. A bit too many features, maybe it’s possible to make it so that you only see the options you need for your work.I recommend that you don't buy everything at once, but a version to suit your needs.

Positive: Thanks to Data Management 365 our processes became much smoother. You can tell that a lot of time and effort have been put into making the MainEDC platform a great tool in any medicine-related research. We did not only CT but also Post-Marketing etc. I like drag and drop CRF Builder, it's fun to use.

Negative: The platform is a bit overloaded with all the different features, so it might be a bit difficult to get the hang of it at the very beginning.This is the price for the fact that on the same platform you can do a small study and a huge.

Summary: The first task that I completed in MainEDC was to create individual registration cards. It can be a tedious process — but this system makes it a bit smoother than usual. Then, I configured all these cards. At that stage, I already realized I liked MainEDC. Over 30% of our projects are large-scale. They involve dozens of thousands of subjects and last for several years. MainEDC streamlines processes and lets us receive the results faster.

Positive: Decent operating speed and rich functionality. After you properly configure all the settings, the system becomes very easy to use.

Negative: I wouldn’t mind having even more extensive customization opportunities

Summary: If you conduct clinical research, I’d recommend you should have a free trial of MainEDC. To make the most of this platform, you’d better explain your situation to the support team and ask for guidance. If you start exploring it on your own and experimenting with it, you might lose a lot of time. With the guidance, you’ll know which features to pay primary attention to and how to adjust the settings. We informed the support in advance about our goals and limitations — and they helped us.

Positive: Seems to have all — or at least the most — features that a DMs might need. The price is very affordable and there are no hidden surcharges.

Negative: The functionality is so extensive that you might feel lost when you get started.

Summary: When trying MainEDC in demo mode, we got access to all the functions that we were interested in. This mode gives a genuinely good notion of the platform’s capabilities. Now, we’re using the full version and we like it. Every step of working with data is comprehensive and user-friendly. The processes of uploading, processing and analyzing the data as well as compiling reports are well organized. API integration with other platforms also comes in handy for us.

Positive: Detailed reports. Powerful analytical tools. Full control over all the processes. Recommended for businesses that strive to increase their profits.

Negative: Compared to some of its competitors, MainEDC offers not the most intuitive interface.

Summary: Our organization specializes in hybrid trials. Both our in-house and remote staff members are happy with the functionality of MainEDC. It gives us everything we need for our projects. We’ve never faced any problems with the input or output of data. The functionality for systematizing and validating data is impressive. There are so many randomization varieties on offer.

Positive: Well-thought-out set of data entry tools. Smart feature navigation. Opportunity to reduce the project’s capital costs.

Negative: Some of our team members don’t quite appreciate the design — but it’s a matter of taste.

Summary: MainEDC lets us check all the tasks in a highly comprehensive manner. I enjoy using this platform and I recommend it to colleagues. In our sphere, the human factor can lead to serious mistakes with grave consequences. Main EDC automate processes to the max and minimizes the risk of mistakes. I’d like to mention its automated drug supply feature separately, it’s really useful. The last thing that I want to say is: it was the first platform where we tried a full audit trail based on blockchain technology.

Positive: Equally helpful for scientists and managers. At any moment, you can open the running project and inspect any of its stages.

Negative: Some of our team members spend too much time experimenting with settings.

Summary: We had an unpleasant situation with the platform that we used before MainEDC. We were running late with a project and were in a hurry. At 10 am on Monday, we could hardly reach the support. And when we reached it, it took them nearly two hours to help us.

The support services of MainEDC are much better. The support team knows the product inside out. They’ve never made us wait too long and their consultations are always very informative.

Positive: Lack of third-party acquisitions or integrations. High security level. Extensive functionality. Helpful English-speaking support.

Negative: We haven’t explored and used all the MainEDC functions yet because there are too many of them.

Summary: My favorite features are connected to central and local laboratory data handling. Plus, I like analytics for sponsor oversight of the clinical data. The list could go on. The interface might seem a bit complex at first sight but it’s only because the platform has so many different features.

MainEDC is not an expensive solution. But I guess companies with big budgets benefit from it more than small businesses, such as the one that I work for.

Positive: Wide range of tools + nearly limitless opportunities for customizing your projects and reports + thought-out UX/UI design.

Negative: Not every team of researchers will need to use the full potential of MainEDC.

Summary: I know that today, it’s a norm that you can access any platform you need from any device. But it’s not the case with older solutions. We, scientists, often can’t access the programs that we need from our mobile phones — or we can, but the functionality of the mobile versions is not identical to the desktop ones. Besides, selected solutions can be available only on the computers from our laboratories. MainEDC is a modern platform that takes care of its users. I can access it from anywhere without limitations!

Positive: Regardless of whether I use my home laptop or my smartphone, I’ll never miss a notification and I can freely use the dashboard.

Negative: It’s more comfortable for me to work on a large screen than on a smartphone.

Summary: We always need to be ready to introduce amendments to our projects. MainEDC is a flexible and responsive solution that allows us to conveniently update the settings and information. The updates don’t slow down the process and don’t lead to mistakes. There are not so many alternatives on the market that would let us do the same. And for that money, there are no alternatives at all 😊

Positive: You can modify your projects at any phase without relaunching them. It saves time and money. The overall speed of work is fast.

Negative: MainEDC can’t fully replace human experts. You have to manually control some operations.

Summary: The collection of templates is rich as it is. But the drag & drop advanced study designer allows you to do without the templates — and that’s valuable. Another point is that the participants of our studies are usually scattered across different parts of the world. Nevertheless, we can conveniently manage their study cards. The system meticulously structures all the information. It takes you only a couple of seconds or even less to find what you’re looking for.

Positive: Amazing drag & drop advanced study designer! MainEDC is suitable for any type of project, even the most sophisticated one.

Negative: Sometimes, our work slows down because we need to modify too many settings.

Summary: When you open the MainEDC website, one of the first things you see is the promise of a much higher speed of work. Allegedly, this solution enables you to launch a trial project in 5 days — instead of 12.7 weeks, which is the industry average. This sounds optimistic.
We bought MainEDC because we loved the free trial results. This solution allowed us to start the research in 3 weeks. Previously, it took us around 15 weeks. Maybe, we’ll be able to get down to work faster next time if we manage to get rid of some bureaucratic procedures in our company.

Positive: This platform simplifies every step of conducting trials. It reduces the workload of the staff and eliminates the mess.

Negative: In some cases, it might be challenging to fill in the tables and the lab data.
