Mailroom Description

Mailroom is an inbound parcel tracking and Proof of Delivery (POD software system) that uses PC-based software and handheld data capture terminals. It allows you to track the movement of mail, packages, and other mail between your mailroom and recipients within the organization. Mailroom is an on-premise solution that is completely secure behind your firewalls. Mailroom labels all incoming mail items, including letters, parcels, and packages, upon arrival. The external courier barcode can also be used to speed up the process. The items are then scanned with a barcode scanner and placed in the mail tracking software PC software against the recipient. All details of the package contents, including reference number, courier, weight and type of item (large letter, box, etc.) can be recorded. To notify the recipient that a mail item was received, an optional email can be sent to them.
