Unreliable and unintuitive Date: Jul 28 2021
Summary: I have given Myki a good go, having used it as my main password manager for 5 months, however the number of small inconveniences that are present have led me to look for an alternative.
Positive: Browser extensions work well most of the time and the syncing across devices has been seamless. It definitely ticks the boxes for a password manager that is not storing data in the cloud. Having inbuilt 2FA has been helpful.
Negative: The first thing I noticed is that Myki is always there. It becomes quite intrusive when trying to use webforms and will occasionally recognise non-password fields as passwords. The various browser extensions and the Myki app are not always intuitive to navigate, and features seem to differ between versions. There are small quirks that just make it feel difficult to use, such as password lists always jumping back to the beginning when you go in and out of the browser extension for both your username and password.
