MAISY Database Description

MAISY Commercial and residential Utility Customer Energy Use and Hrly Loads Databases were created in 1995. They include information on 10,000 utility customers across the US. Databases have been extensively updated and expanded each year to provide 2020 MAISY Databases which now include current energy usage and hourly load profile data for more than 7,000,000 US residential and commercial utility customers. The databases include information about each utility customer record, including details on the building, equipment, operation, occupant and energy use. MAISY Commercial load profile databases for residential and commercial customers were compiled from many data sources, including Jackson Associates proprietary utility customer surveys, detailed appliance engineering analysis, and utility association, government, and government records. These databases reflect a statistically valid sample from residential and commercial customers of utility companies throughout the US.
