A self-hosted Google Photos clone with a focus on cool graphs. LibrePhotos is a fork from Ownphotos. Open-source, self-hosted photo management service with a focus on cool graphs. Django backend, and React frontend. Our documentation contains step-by-step instructions for installation. Multiuser support is available for all types of photos, including raw photos, videos, timeline view, scans photos on the file system, and support for all types. Generate albums based upon events such as "Thursday, Berlin", face recognition and face classification, reverse geocoding. Object/scene detection, semantic search, and search for metadata. A x86 processor is required. 8GBs RAM is recommended. For Docker images, you will need at minimum 10 GB HDD Space. Because of machine learning models, it will need that much space. Librephotos will also create thumbnails and a database. This will require additional space. LibrePhotos has separate frontend and backend servers.

Summary: LibrePhotos is a good way to store and organize personal photos in a collection away from prying eyes of data leech orgs. But it still needs to streamline the setup process so that more users can adopt it.
Positive: Free & Open Source.
Advanced image search.
Supports all image formats and videos.
Face labeling and other metadata.
Privacy focused.Negative: Large space requirement - 10 GB just for the docker image installation.
