LaserList Description

LaserList is a checklist application that uses barcodes to help with checklists. It can be used to create a simple checklist or to add detail to a document-based check list. Pre-start checks include truck pre-trip inspection, forklift pre-shift check, vehicle prestart checklist, excavator start checklist, plant preproduction checks, and manufacturing schedule checks. LaserList is used to modify existing paper checklists by adding a barcode that includes the checklist name and each item. Physical items that are referred to in the list also have a barcode. The physical item barcode can be either a product barcode or an equipment barcode. Online barcode generator tools are available for common word processing and spreadsheet applications. Before the checklist can be executed, the list barcode from the paper checklist must first be scanned. This is how the LaserList application creates the checklist.
