Kopia has a secure and scalable architecture that can backup everything, from small laptops to large servers. Kopia is an open-source backup/restore software that's fast and secure. It can manage filesystem snapshots in remote storage. Kopia uploads files and directories to remote storage called Repository. It also maintains historical point-in time snapshot records based upon defined policies. Each snapshot is always an incremental one. No data from previous snapshots is ever re-uploaded into the repository based upon file content. Kopia recognizes large files and will not upload them again after they are moved or renamed. Multiple computers or users can share the same repository. If users share the same files they will be uploaded only once. Kopia can mount the contents a Repository's local disk and you can use standard file copy tools to do a selective or complete restore.
