    Great Support and Ease of Use for Non-technical Staff

    Summary: So far as an organization and as an individual, am very happy with the product. Have been through a number of other competitors over the years and the transition to Keela has been a big improvement.

    Positive: Some greats:
    1. The support for the product is better than most: great documentation and staff is quick to respond.

    2. UI/UX is simple making it easy to find what you are looking for.
    3. Form creation is very easy and requires very little in terms of technical support for most use cases

    Negative: Like any product it needs growth.
    - 3rd-party analytics support for example is still pretty limited. Example: Google Analytics is
    - also very limited on styling options for embedded forms; adding custom CSS would be a nice feature.

    Summary: Overall our organization really loves using Keela and it's a huge upgrade from what we were using before. The friendly support staff are quick to respond if there are any challenges, and they are listening to their customers on what to add next. We have been through a few options and Keela stood out as number one, and so far it hasn't disappointed us.

    Trustworthy and flexible

    Summary: We spent two years researching, defining our needs and finally transitioning to using Keela. We couldn't be happier with the choice we made.

    Positive: We love the ease of setting it up, with the training videos, support staff and articles. It's our first DMS and within weeks we were able to begin mining the new opportunities available to help us build solid relationships with our donors. As a smaller nonprofit, billing according to the number of contacts keeps it affordable. Being able to create unlimited forms and tags is giving us options like fundraising, event planning, and eblasts to build awareness and invite participation. When there's something we want improved or added, Keela is responsively listening to their community and making changes. We used the project management tool to bring our monthly donors over from another platform and it worked brilliantly.

    Negative: The options for designing eblasts and direct mail are still somewhat limited. But we're hopeful that as Keela community gives feedback, these will also be improved.
    An app would improve our ability to use Keela over the current means of accessing it on a smartphone.
    Making the third party fundraising option free to all users would be a gift to smaller nonprofits.

    Summary: I enthusiastically recommend Keela to anyone who has a need for a donor management program. It has served us well for all of our donor management needs and we see it as a vital tool to our success.

    Positive: Keela gives us everything we need for outreach to our audience. From the ease of creating records (or importing from a large list) to segmenting our audience list, to managing our campaigns, there really isn't anything that we need that Keela doesn't provide. We count Keela as a vital tool to the success of our nonprofit.

    Negative: So far, there are no negatives to our experience. As a novice user of a donor management tool, we certainly would have experienced any drawback of the program but we did not.

    Summary: It was really easy to import our historical data, customer support is outstanding both with onboarding and then on an ongoing basis, reports are easy to build, seamlessly integrated with our payment platform. We have been able to significantly increase our fundraising totals.

    Positive: I can't say enough about their customer support - great onboarding incredibly responsive, easy to understand, they go the extra mile.

    Negative: That I didn't sign up for Keela sooner! I haven't found any aspect of the platform to be hard to use.

    Indispensable Tool!

    Summary: Highly recommend Keela to anyone. As a small non-profit, it has saved us countless admin hours and made our database much easier to search and access. Integration to the software was easy and the customer service can't be beat. Extras like the weekly newsletters and webinars offered through the company are amazing added value!

    Positive: Easy to learn. So convenient to have all your information in one place. Customer service is outstanding. Suggestions are taken seriously and often implemented. Software is always evolving and getting better - most of the complaints I had when we started using it have since been resolved.

    Negative: One of the big features I was missing when we first got the software was automation. They have since added it but as a premium feature. That was disappointing. While from the business side I completely understand tiered features, as a consumer, it's very frustrating to have to pay more to get something that you feel should be included.

    I love using Keela!

    Summary: I use Keela on a daily bases to help keep clients information and to store contact information. This System allows me to easily come back to a client and make updated notes to know where I am at with a client. Keela keeps track of our progress of all the work I'm doing. I don't know where I would be without Keela making my job a whole lot easier.

    Positive: I love how easy Keela is to navigate. As an Outreach Specialist for a non-profit, having information at my finger tips is essential. Keela is a well organized system that allows me to enter information and find information quickly. I absolutely love how user friendly the system is as well. Anyone can operate this system.

    Summary: I think overall Keela is a very great and useful tool when connecting with donors, managing volunteers, gathering contacts for email marketing everything and Keela is very well put together including the taskbar that shows tasks for managers follow ups everything is amazing.

    Positive: The email marketing is one of my favorite features. It allows our communications to be sent accurately and correctly the first time!

    Negative: Searching in Keela can be difficult, there is a strange search engine within Keela that doesn’t always show me the result I need.

    A Modern and Innovative Tool that Helps Us Manage Our Donors and Sponsorships

    Summary: Keela has helped our organization have a centralized data management center that multiple volunteers can access to perform tasks that keep us in compliance with our local and national government. In simple terms, it's made everyone's job a little bit easier! Overall, we are glad that we switched from our previous donor management software even though it is slightly more money. For the value it offers, it's well worth it!

    Positive: It was fairly easy to switch from our previous CRM database that we were unhappy with. This software has given us the ability to communicate effectively with our donors, keep track of sponsorship pledges, and track our yearly fundraising goals. All of this has been easy to customize to our organization and add the custom fields that pertain to us. I also like that they are continually taking feature requests and bug fixes from the end-users and making regular releases with these new features and fixes. Our sponsorship coordinator has expressed to me how much she likes it and how convenient the mobile app is for looking up our donor's information.

    Negative: To be fair, it's hard to be a "one size fits all" for any product, so of course there could be things that could be enhanced or added. For us, I would like to see when a pledge payment is past due and be able to create a segment or report that could show who is behind and by how much. The nice thing though about the Keela team, is they REALLY listen when you have a particular need like I just mentioned, and they provide an Ideas Portal for just that!

    Keela Has Grown into One of My Favorite Tools!

    Summary: Overall, I really enjoy that Keela is a dynamic platform that is always improving! Taking part in Keela training and webinars really helped me to understand the full capability of the system and use it more effectively. I also am thrilled about that the system has the ability to track fundraising KPIs, because this will help us plan strategically for our own organizational growth!

    Positive: I've used Keela for years now and have gotten to see the platform grow tremendously. My favorite thing about Keela is that they are always gathering feedback from users and making feature updates and improvements that users request! I've also always had a great experience with their support team. I use Keela every day as part of my role, and I really appreciate the ease of the system as we track all of our fundraising efforts.

    Negative: There are some features that aren't as built out as I would like or require an upgrade to access. For example, I've wanted the ability to automate specific email series for awhile now, and while Keela did launch a new automation feature, it is not included in our current subscription. I understand that this is common for software systems, however, and we do have the ability to work around it.

    Keela is ideal for small charities

    Summary: I would definitely recommend Keela to anyone at a small charity. I have used several donor management systems and many do not provide quick answers to burning questions. The training tutorials are excellent.

    Positive: The customer service at Keela is phenomenal. I get my questions answered within an hour or less, despite the time difference. The support function is also excellent, with well produced videos and easy to follow instructions. I have also attended several webinars which helped me to raise more money. The free membership in Next After is a terrific bonus. There are other features that I haven't yet explored but am eager to do so.

    Negative: I wish there was a way to integrate my Stripe fees into Keela so that I can easily deduct my service charges each month. I also wish I could make certain changes to the donor form template -- there isn't enough flexibility to alter the first page that a donor sees. The tax receipt for monthly donors is clunky and there should be a way to put all the information on one page with one receipt number as other databases do.

    Summary: Overall, I do really like the program. I do not use it to its full potential yet, but would highly recommended the program.

    Positive: Donor Tracking: I like how easy it is to navigate and provide different styles of spreadsheets for my management team. I can easily research who and what was donated or provide a year in review.

    Communications: I really like that I can see who has done what with the emails we send out.

    Negative: Communications: I would like to see more template options when creating E-Blasts. Also viewing templates is difficult. Seems I have to choose one blindly to see what the layout is.

    Great product for small nonprofits

    Summary: Keela is a super helpful tool for Colorado Wild Public Lands. We use it every day to track donations, donors, relationships, etc. Being a small organization with limited staff, this program works wonders and makes our work much easier. I would highly recommend.

    Positive: Easy to use, lots of webinars and guides for using the platform to its full potential. Really helps with organization.

    Negative: There needs to be a better way to link donors. I know of the "family" function but that doesn't adequately allow for tracking individual donations as a part of a family unit.
