Kanboard Description

Kanboard is a Kanban project management software that is free and open-source. Kanboard has a simple user interface. There are only a few features that can be added to Kanboard. Because it is visual, the Kanban board provides the best way to see the current status of a project. It is very simple to understand, it doesn't require any training and there are no instructions. To adapt the board to your needs, you can add, remove, and rename columns at any moment. To keep your focus on your work, you should not multitask. The column is highlighted if you exceed the limit. Kanboard has a simple query language that allows you to quickly find tasks. To find what you are looking for, you can use dynamically-generated filters on the board. Search by assignees, description, categories, due date, etc.

    Summary: While not a ready to use solution, Kanboard is the most comprehensive FOSS alternatives to project management softwares like Jira. Perfect for small teams working on personal projects wanting to follow kanban process.

    Positive: Free & Open Source.
    Color schemes to visualize work flow.
    Drag & Drop Interface.
    Self Hosted solution.
    Available for Windows & most of the popular Linux flavors.

    Negative: Initial setup is a hassle - requires to set up a web server with php installed and then move the source code.
    Project is in maintenance mode - no active development.
