Gift aid can be claimed on donations made to registered charities if they raise money. If you raise money for your own cause, gift aid is not available. Donations are automatically sent to registered charities when you fundraise. Fundraising for your own cause will result in funds being directly transferred to your bank account. Your page is making an impact on people in need, whether you are helping charity grow or directly helping them. Because fundraising pages with targets are more likely to raise money than those without them, we ask that you set one. Even if you don’t reach your target, any donations you raise will still be received. Your page will be closed 3 months after the end of an event if you are raising funds for that event. Your page will remain open for 120 days if you are raising funds for an individual cause, rather than for an event. You can extend the page's duration in either case.
