OSS-as a Service is a business model and delivery model that provides holistic OSS capabilities through a partnership relationship with CSPs for a multi-year term. CSPs can increase their operational efficiencies and business agility by using a well-integrated OSS suite that processes high-quality operational data. This allows them to reduce OPEX, improve customer experience, and speed up TTM. CSPs have only two options for OSS sourcing. They can either buy a COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf), software package with complimentary support services to address back office fulfillment and assurance processes, or they can develop their own OSS.
