    Summary: Overall, my experience with HERE Technologies has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. While the platform itself has useful capabilities, those are overshadowed by opaque billing practices, poor communication, and an ineffective support process. What began as a question about unexpected charges turned into weeks of unanswered technical questions, repeated follow-ups, and generic responses with no meaningful progress. I was left feeling that customer concerns were not being taken seriously and that resolving legitimate technical issues was not a priority.

    Positive: Comprehensive mapping, routing, and geospatial APIs with broad functionality and support for a wide range of location-based applications.

    Negative: I initially signed up for HERE Technologies under the impression that I would be using the free tier, but instead incurred unexpected charges for services I never intentionally called from my code, specifically toll-related API requests. The pricing and billing model lacks transparency, making it difficult to understand how usage is calculated or why certain charges are incurred. When I raised these concerns, I was met with prolonged delays and a lack of clear technical explanations, leaving me without confidence in either the platform's billing practices or its customer support.
