Greatwill is a Finnish software solution designed specifically for the creation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with the Finnish Accounting Act (FAS, Finnish GAAP). It simplifies the consolidation process by organizing it into group events, where each event corresponds to a concise form, allowing for the automatic generation of elimination entries, reconciliations, and the consolidation worksheet based on the information provided in these forms.

Each group event has its dedicated form, which includes scenarios such as founding and acquiring a subsidiary, managing intra-group income and expenses, handling receivables and payables, accounting for unrealized margins in both inventory and fixed assets, processing intra-group dividends, and addressing translation differences for foreign subsidiaries. Additionally, the software manages minority interests, facilitates the transfer of depreciation differences and tax-based reserves to equity along with deferred tax considerations, and incorporates equity-method accounting for associates, as well as transactions involving the sale or merger of a subsidiary. Importantly, each form is streamlined to request only the necessary information, while automatically managing aspects like exchange rates, tax implications, and minority shares to enhance efficiency. This comprehensive approach not only saves time but also reduces the likelihood of errors in financial reporting.
