Summary: I’ve been using GoAnywhere MFT for a little over four years now. We originally brought it in to replace a mix of scheduled scripts and manual SFTP uploads that were honestly getting messy, and it has served us well since implementation. There’s a lot in there. But once we got through the initial setup and figured out how Projects and Resources really work, it became part of our daily operations.

Positive: What kind of stands out for me with GoAnywhere MFT is that it pulls a lot of secure file transfer stuff into one place, so I don’t have to keep switching between tools or writing a bunch of scripts. I can just build a workflow that pulls a file from one system, encrypts it, and then sends it to a partner, all inside one project. Makes things feel a bit more organized, honestly. The visual workflow designer is probably what I notice most. It helps me follow along with what’s happening step by step, even when I’m not looking at the technical side of things too deeply. The built-in security features are nice too, since encryption, secure transfer protocols, and audit logs are already there. I didn’t have to go hunting for extra plugins or add-ons to get that working.

Negative: I’d say it’s the setup and configuration side. Not that it’s bad, just a bit heavy at the start. There are many options everywhere, and sometimes I have to stop and think about which setting actually affects what I’m trying to do. Makes the learning phase feel a little slower than I expected.

Summary: Overall, GoAnywhere MFT is a solid enterprise‑grade solution once it is fully implemented, but it is not a plug‑and‑play product. It delivers the required security and automation features, yet the complexity of the interface and configuration increases operational overhead for administrators. I would recommend it for organizations that have dedicated resources to manage and maintain the platform, but it may be overkill for smaller teams looking for something easier to operate

Positive: GoAnywhere MFT offers a rich set of managed file transfer capabilities that cover most enterprise use cases, including secure protocols, scheduling, and workflow automation. Integration options with different systems and authentication methods are flexible once configured correctly. The product is stable in production, and large transfers generally complete reliably without frequent failures.

Negative: The user interface is not intuitive, and many configuration steps are buried in multiple menus, which makes daily administration slower than it should be. Initial setup and advanced workflows require significant learning effort, and documentation alone is not always enough without vendor or partner support. Performance can degrade during peak times if the solution is not carefully tuned, and troubleshooting errors is sometimes difficult due to unclear log messages. Pricing is relatively high compared to some alternatives that provide similar MFT features.

Summary: Overall, For MFT and FTP both process the GoAnywhere solution is the best and useful solution to automate the client data. They have best services so I recommend my friends and social groups to try GoAnywhere for their FTP related works.

Positive: They have very interesting and user friendly profile where we work on FTP process to automate our client data transfer process with GoAnywhere without having any issues.

Negative: Never have any issue, instead I like their support team and managed services that automate our work with easy to manage services.

Summary: Overall its a great & versatile tool. Bit of a learning curve (especially if you haven't done any object oriented programming before). But the biggest strength is that it integrates really well with older systems (FTP environments, on-prem servers) and also with newer cloud environments (SharePoint, AWS, GCP)

Positive: GoAnywhere is an extremely versatile and multi-faceted MFT tool. I have yet to run into something that it can't do. And we've barely the scratched the surface of using it for automation & API integration. We've also been able to have it integrate with our AWS, GCP and SharePoint environments easily. I've had to engage help and support on many instances and they have always provided great assistance in a timely manner. Would recommend GoAnywhere with two thumbs up

Negative: Occasionally, some of the more advanced functions within cloud environments are still being developed. So while Fortra is quick to add things in we have had some delays waiting for an exact feature or integration to be improved.

Summary: Love, love, love this product. I am starting to look into some of their other offerings. If you are struggling with a pile of tasks involving moving files around - you need to try this product.

Positive: I was running a series of 40+ bash shell scripts to transfer files around with several vendors. Anything would have been an improvement. But WOW - what an improvement! Love the ability to use variables for everything. Copy some files from point A to point B, and create variables for the source and destination. Now you can use the source variables to move files into an archive, while using the destination variables to transfer files to an SFTP server. "Monitors" gives you the ability to watch for files to appear - and then run jobs when it happens. Dragging and dropping elements into projects makes it so quick and easy to build out a complicated task. What used to be 200 lines of code can be compacted into a 10 line task that is easy to read.

Reporting is also a huge plus. And now I can send those reports to folks that need to monitor the file transfers to ensure that things are trucking along. Did I mention email notifications? Too many great things to list here, just watch their demo.

Negative: I haven't found many cons to this product. Most of my complaints have been nullified by support who has pointed out to me that I was building things wrong.

Summary: Overall, GoAnywhere MFT is a robust platform. It performs pretty well in extensive file sharing within the company. It secures the files by auto-encrypting and adds an extra layer of authentication which ultimately makes it harder for any attackers to steal data.

Positive: GoAnywhere facilitates the monitoring of file-sharing activities. Easy to add files to its cloud. Secures the path between the sender and receiver when transferring files. Also works on any latest browser, so installation of software is not necessary.

Negative: There is some learning curve on this platform. In performance it's great.

Summary: I would recommend GoAnywhere MFT to anyone looking to automate their file transfer solutions. It is one of my favorite pieces of software I interface with on a daily basis.

Positive: GoAnywhere MFT is a fantastic product for automating file transfers and database imports. It is very easy to use, affordable, reliable, and flexible to meet your needs.

Negative: The only con I can think of is I wish there was a better way to request enhancements, that could also be reviewed by others and voted on to be added to future releases.

Summary: This is a very easy to use product, the automations are built in a faster and more intuitive way, reducing time by a lot.

Positive: Easy to use, very intuitive, easy set up, the installation of this product is pretty straight forward.

Negative: It needs the ability to separate users in groups, so that certain people can modify only that group user.

Summary: Great product and and the only time we had to call support was to understand the upgrade path to a newer version.

Positive: It's easy to setup and configure and supports FTP, SFTP, FTPs and HTTPS. I especially like the feature where it auto disables users accounts if they have not been used in 30 days.

Negative: None at all!! We have been using the software for several years now and very pleased with with it.

Summary: GoAnywhere MFT is a fantastic product and team. I would absolutely recommend them for an MFT solution.

Positive: Ease of use, flexibility, functionality, number of features that are offered, customer support quality.

Negative: There aren't many things I don't like about GoAnywhere. Anytime that I have had things I would like added or changed in the past, their customer support team was quick to help resolve the issue or it was implemented as a new release offering soon afterwards.

Summary: Good. It has been good experience with this product. So far it is very good. Support has been very good when I need help.

Positive: Extremely good with advance work Flow. I like web user interface. I also like database key management. There are lots of good thing this product.

Negative: Does not support some DNS name in IP Filter. ex xxxxx-xxxx if it is xxxxxxxx then works ok

Summary: Overall, I would say that they are quite great. Superb functionality and performance. Leading MFT out there.

Positive: One of the best and reliable solutions out there. Great user interface and leaders in technology. Superb in terms of Usability.

Negative: Interface can be a bit better, rest I would say it's really great.

Summary: Our overall experience with GoAnywhere MFT has been very positive. It has brought consistency, security, and automation to our file transfers. Summary: After a long and grueling search to meet some of our complex file sharing/transfer and file automation needs, our search is over. GoAnyWhere does the job well.

Positive: The product is very versatile and secure. It allows us to serve a number of different and sometimes complex file transfer needs. We can securely share out any data targets in your environment, regardless of the backend platform or necessary protocol. The user interface is friendly.

Negative: Setup and configuration of security and some of the automation can become complex, but that is to be expected with the amount of customization and versatility.
