FairEmail Description

FairEmail is simple to set up and works well with almost all email providers including Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo! FairEmail may be right for you if your privacy is important to you. FairEmail is an only email client, so you will need to provide your own email address. FairEmail doesn't support non-standard protocols like Microsoft Exchange Web Services or Microsoft ActiveSync. Although most features are free, it is not possible to support and maintain FairEmail over the long-term. Below is a list of pros features. This app is minimalistic in design so you can focus on reading and writing messages. This app will start a foreground service and send you a notification with a low priority status bar to ensure that you don't miss any new emails.

    Great Email Client

    Date: Jan 17 2022

Summary: I would recommend giving this application a try to see if you enjoy it. Even without any pro features the app is still quite impressive. Read the documentation if the technical stuff is not understood but the setup wizard makes it a simple process to be reading your email in short time.

Positive: The ease of setup, configuration, and multitude of settings along with IMHO a good design makes it a joy to use. In addition the Pro Features are given with just a little donation, just under $8 at the time of this writing. It works with your own custom email and Gmail, although I keep Gmail separate from FairEmail as Google does a fine job as well. Documentation is extensive which is always a welcoming fact. RTFM.

Negative: Many ways to install, Play store, f-droid, GitHub builds, etc. Though this is not unique when trying to get the Pro Features to work after a reinstallation it can prove annoying. One of the pros was many options/settings, but on occasion this is a con too... either conflicts or not being able to find what you need.
