Summary: Overall, I really like Evernote. We have used it for business and personal data organization and data sharing. There are just a couple of issues that made it difficult to continue using for our growing business, like simultaneous note editing and that data input could easily be not saved if you weren't paying attention to it.

Positive: The layout is very simple and intuitive. I appreciate how easy it is to share with others. For small companies (ours is under 15 employees) looking for a good, free app to collaborate and share data, this is a great choice.

Negative: Two people cannot be working on one Note at the same time. This wasn't typically an issue, but in meetings, we had to assign one person as the notetaker on the agenda, and be sure not to click on the note while following the agenda or it would knock out the other person. We did have a few times where info would randomly disappear, it may have been purely from connection issues, and thinking you were connected to the internet while working, and then opening up a document to find all the date you inputted is gone.

Summary: If all you need is a basic online note taker so that your notes can be saved, this works. It could use a visual refresh though.

Positive: Can create notes that are stored online and synced between devices. Can include camera pictures, documents, text notes, handwriting, etc.

Negative: User interface could use updating. Not as snappy as one note. Free accounts limit the number of devices that can be active at once.

Summary: Overall, I'd say it's a good product. It delivers on what it says it does. I've always relied on a physical notebook but I don't want to sacrifice trees for my own productivity's sake. For now, it helps me a lot but still it will need a lot of customization before it can duplicate the practicality of a real notebook, let alone improve upon it.

Positive: Extremely easy to use and setting it up takes only a couple of minutes. The great part is that I can access it both on Desktop and on my browser so I don't have to worry about carrying a notebook around.

Negative: There are a lot of features that I can see on my navigation bar but it's a little unclear what each one does and some features look like they do the same thing.
Adding more depth to the note taking part and a bit more customization would carry this app to the next level.

Summary: Overall, I think Evernote is an amazing software and has essentially become my external brain. I am able to store information I want to access in the future with the click of a button.

Positive: I love that you can essentially outsource your memory. When I’m doing research for different projects or topics, I can very easily keep track of important documents, sites, and notes.

Negative: When I was first starting to use it, there wasn’t a lot of information about how to use it from Evernote, but I think they’ve changed that since then. There’s also a bunch of YouTube videos out there about best practices.

Summary: Even though I'm less than pleased with the change in pricing, I'm still reliant on Evernote since without it, I'd likely never look at my notes at all.

Positive: I love Evernote's shortcuts - they really make it a breeze to switch between different notes and manage all sorts of content, especially when I need to insert an image or screenshot.

Negative: The non-premium version got rid of many useful features that were once free.

Summary: Evernote has become a time-saving digital notepad, as well as a task monitoring software application to quickly write meeting notes, produce work monitoring routines and update my daily tasks.

Taking notes with pen and paper was a custom for me until I installed this app. I even used this app to make quick notes in my mobile when I was in Humanities class during my college days.

Apart from my curricular activities that require lots of note making and sharing, I had had a habit of writing some ideas I felt that were intriguing to inspect on. But using pen and paper every time a bulb glows over my head was a hassle. This problem even though tiny was there for me before using this app.

Without hesitation, I would describe this app as a wonder because it made note making so easy that transcribing what I feel and think is effortless. Adding pictures and audio bytes are hassle free. The only times I feel that Evernote basic version was not good enough for me is when I try to sync all my notes as the data limit you can sync is set to 2 MB.

Positive: Simplified UI.
Easy to share notes.
Student friendly basic version.
Note making is so easy that I shifted from using pen and paper to this.

Negative: The size of data you could sync among devices is low on Evernote Basic.

Cannot edit a shared note simultaneously like you do in google docs.

Summary: Evernote has been a great help at giving me a place to organize all my notes and files in one single location, the management of the files is amazing and it has helped me increase productivity by making it so much easier to find all my projects quicker than in other products, because it has features that help with the location of each file. The tools that it offers significantly improve the organization of my everyday work life and offers me balance to continue creating. It is flexible enough that I am able to use the application on a variety of projects from different scopes and achieve the goals set, as well as use the application for personal life like creating lists that help me organize my life in general, it is a great tool for management. Because I tend to struggle with organization in my life, the use of Evernote for every single aspect of my life has changed me completely and it has changed the way that I do and create new things, because it is easy to keep track of my tasks, projects, lists, and more on every single device no matter which one is in or where I am in, this allows me to access everything and have everything in handy for when I need it the most, it is such a beneficial tool because there is no need to carry every device but only the one I prefer. Additionally, I think that the cloud storage of Evernote is very convenient for every day use because it automatically backs up all the data in the cloud and it is so much easier to use it on any device and not having to worry about human errors such as losing a physical paper or losing important information that is printed, I think that the use of digital tools to ensure that all the data is protected is something that is become more important with each day and each new transformation of the digital era that happens, Evernote does a good job adjusting to these changes and always makes sure that the data is stored safely and can be accessed in any way. For me, Evernote has increased my productivity a lot because the note-taking tool has kept me fully up-to-date with everything that I need to do, it allows me to annotate any relevant information so I don't forget it, it has allowed me to set basic tasks reminders for certain projects that I have annotated in, and overall, my life using Evernote has been so much better than before and I have been able to collaborate with other team members who also use it and we can annotate together on a file to get the work done faster, it is a tool that has its pros and cons but I would say that there are more benefits to using Evernote than anything negative, it is a very well constructed application that allows me to stay on top and achieve all the goals that I set for myself, my team, and my business, it is truly a tool that is good to have around.

Positive: Firstly, I like that Evernote is a tool that improves productivity over time with the variety of features that it provides to users who want to explore the flexibility of annotating digitally. Among my favorite features of Evernote, there are:

Tools to organize: This is probably my most favorite and most important to me personally, Evernote has the ability to organize notes in many, many ways. The creation of notebooks, tags, and stacks to organize the files in different manners makes it easy to find the information quickly and in a timely manner. Additionally, the search function of Evernote works pretty well and it is smart enough to find different files with only certain keywords or tags, which makes it pretty useful when one is trying to dig up an old file in a pile of new ones.

Synchronization: Because the software is available in multiple devices, it is easy to access it everywhere, both remotely and in the office. Even when I am outside, I can easily open Evernote to access my notes and files to check something or change something that comes up urgently, and the offline access on the go is something that is very important and Evernote understands that very well.

Collaboration: It is an important aspect of every product and I think that it should be included in every software nowadays that remote working is becoming more popular with the rise of technology and other trends, and Evernote's way of sharing notes and files with other users make it so much simpler to collaborate on different projects because we are able to work simultaneously while chatting about the project inside of the application.

Integration: Not only the availability of the application in multiple devices is important, but also the integration and implementation with other third-party apps and services to make the workflow smoother. Evernote integrates with many applications that I use on my day-to-day tasks and it allows me to keep a good workflow and easily transfer data from these apps to Evernote, and viceversa.

Customization: The amount of customization allowed in Evernote is endless, andn I like how I am able to change different aspects of my notebooks and overall all the files I create to make a unique file every single time, the amount of choices when it comes to colors, fonts, and formatting, as well as the addition of multimedia such as images to the files make it so easy to let the creativity flow when doing the action of note-taking in Evernote, it is extremely flexible and it makes the process of using Evernote so much more freeing than other solutions, because it allows me to do the things the way I want to and it does not feel limiting at all when it comes to customization.

Collection of information: Evernote has an unique way of being able to collect information that I have not seen in any other note-taking application, and it is the extension that allows the recollection of websites and articles that one can see while browsing the internet, and it is an amazing tool that allows me to save important information for later and to easily collect information for a project that might be essential for it.

Negative: Evernote has a good set of features that compliment each other, however, I think that the cost and its pricing plans can be somewhat limiting, the free plan offers the usage of the application to only to devices and there is a limit in how much you can upload to your notebooks, which is kind of bothersome when you're working on a project. That being said, I also think that the premium plan is kind of expensive and it offers other tools that I don't find myself using all of the time but I am still being charged for it. The way that Evernote offers its tools make it difficult to learn how to use each of them, and the complexity of navigating the product is there, as it can be very overwhelming to start using it when its interface is quite unique and different from other similar softwares. However, it is not something that might stop you from using Evernote altogether as the learning curve can be complex but not impossible. Finally, there are not many bad things that I have experienced while using Evernote, I believe its functionality is pretty good, but I do have experienced some issues when syncing my devices, it happened twice that my information was lost because the devices weren't synced, and when they synced, the progress that I had done with one of my projects got deleted all of a sudden with no chance of recovering.

Anything to do with the ability to keep notes organized and easy to find has been great about Evernote. + The Web Clipper function is very useful for me because I can quickly take screenshots when I want to annotate an image, information website or a blog that I am following. The captures are of great quality and I can save from a specific section as well as a whole page of a website, this function also helps me a lot since usually when I use the browser bookmarks the cache of a site like this is not saved that Web Clipper helps me with this bookmark problem.

+ For me, scanning with the Document Scanning function on this platform is very complete because the images I get are of very good quality and it also has a text detector when I scan a printed document. This helped me a lot since I didn't have to transcribe anything since I save it as an image of a document or just extract the text from the document if it is possible to do so.

+ The synchronization was perfect with Evernote, especially when I use this platform on multiple devices on different operating systems. Negative: In all the time that I have been using Evernote I have not had any problem with recorded failures that prevent me from using this platform, there are very few defects that I see in this platform, such as:

- The spell checker needs to be improved since there are certain words that it does not recognize, an example would be the names of certain platforms that seem not to be added to the dictionary. They could also integrate an editor that could improve the sentences I write, this would be very helpful for people with weak grammar, so they can have clearer annotations and not have confusion when it comes to understanding what has been written.

- It would be useful to be able to choose what I want to see when I log in to this platform, since I could be directly with what I want to do in my day to day without having to navigate within the platform. So the main panel of Evernote would have to be customizable for these cases, if possible to be able to configure it as a desktop which I can see what I want at the start and be able to move it as I want.

- It would be nice to have the ability to make a one-time payment, I understand that for some features you have to make a monthly subscription such as cloud synchronization and collaborative work, and other functions that may be very obvious to use of a monthly subscription. However, a single payment for basic functions of this platform would not be bad.

- It performs poorly when adding a lot of media files to notes, regardless of whether it's the web, desktop or smartphone version. This limits being able to create only notes with images since adding more files will slow down making it impossible to work more smoothly within Evernote when you want to edit a note that is loaded with many multimedia files.

º I can attach any type of file to my notes as if it were a cloud storage, yes, there is a limit to the weight of the file, however, I do not think I need to upload a 3 GB Word document, for example. I also want to mention the vast majority of file types it accepts or recognizes, so you know what you're downloading in case you need it.

º The mobile application is very secure as it has a fingerprint lock function. Taking note of something important and having it filtered without consent is serious for personal security and that is why I prefer secure platforms like this one that give me the option to place my fingerprint to access my personal notes.

º It has a good system of reminders in which it is automatic or if it is required to program manually with the specifications such as frequency, date, tone, etc. It is useful when I need to complete tasks on a list at a specific time.

º I can make sketches if I need them, this helps me when I want to draw something to remember it or just write by hand since sometimes I am on my iPad and I find it easier to write by hand inside Evernote than to use the awkward keyboard that comes with it.

º It is very easy to manage within Evernote, even though it has many functions, it is not overwhelming since everything is organized without any problem. In addition, with just a simple registration I started using Evernote in such a short time, obviously I had to upgrade to a more business version because the free version has many limitations, such as the number of devices that have your Evernote account open.

Negative: º The platform becomes slow as if it were loading many elements, it shouldn't be like that since the content that I mostly store is simply plain text, with few images or documents. A good optimization should fix that problem so that I can access my notes quickly.

º The synchronization between devices is a bit delayed because when I add or edit something in my notes on my IOS or Android device on the desktop they still do not take effect and I have to wait a little while for them to appear. It also happens the other way around, regardless of the device, operating system or internet speed. It's weird because when I have shared notes, every change my coworkers make is reflected almost instantly on all my devices.

º For work reasons I need to use Android and IOS, and from the experience I have, despite the fact that both devices that I have are high-end, the IOS version is much more fluid and it should not be like that. Since if I only need to use Android and it is always slow then I have to go for my IPad or go to the desktop to make my annotations quickly.

º I do not see improvement between the progressive updates that it has in IOS, it is more of the same, as if it were applying patches, I would prefer that they update for more functionality than for changes that are not going to be noticed.

º I find it very curious that the Evernote web platform has limitations with certain functions that are only available on desktop or mobile devices. In general it should be the other way around so that's why I put this as a negative point since it is not fully functional if someone wants to enjoy this platform without installing anything.

- It can directly save the note in PDF format.
- It also supports writing notes through stylus.

Negative: - The trial version of the application offers only few features and doesn't let the new user experience all the features.

Summary: I have felt less overwhelmed since using Evernote because it helps me to stay organized and focused when it comes to choosing what I should be researching. I am able to store it in this resource and not leave another tab open with a random article in it.

Positive: Evernote has helped me to keep my research and notes organized and succinct. It has allowed me to keep fewer tabs open and save something for later to read or edit. I appreciate this tool and the freedom it has provided me with while learning!

Negative: Occasionally the sharing feature can be a bit complicated and not transfer well, but overall has been a helpful tool to me.
