Summary: Domo has been a new tool to me.

    Positive: Customizable.
    A ton of plug-ins available.
Good visual & chart types available.
    Customer Support Team is Great.
    Scheduling of Reports & Dashboards.

Negative: Can be tricky to learn initially but once you get your feet beneath you, it is smooth sailing.

    DOMO at a large Retailer

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Overall it meets our needs, though I would like to see enhancements to users ability to change cards or views of cards for just themselves. For instance, we build an enterprise report on company wide instock % but my camping merchant might want to add or remove fields to the stacked bar chart but he does not have access to Analyzer (those changes would need to be saved and impact the card for everyone, saving a copy of the card inflates the number of cards in the instance). I'd like to see expanded functionality beyond adding filters like changing the card type and adding and removing fields for temporary views and analysis.

Positive: Automates reports that can easily be shared across the company so it is good for reporting KPIs and keeping us on the same page with our KPI definitions.

Negative: Cards struggle to render correctly on large datasets causing routine timeouts. Also it is irritating in Analyzer when a change to a field in the dataset breaks a card and it's a guessing game as to which filed got renamed or removed. DOMO know which filed is being called on in the card that it can't find in the dataset under the hood, so just tell me instead of making me figure it out!!!

    Still unsure - but excited!

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Overall, I am pleased with Domo and eager to learn what we will allow it to do next! (I am sure my company is throttling how much information Domo shares at once?!

Positive: I enjoy the daily updates via many options - I chose text! And I know important changes as they happen!

Negative: Sometimes I get too many messages telling me the same thing... I am quite certain I can go into my Domo account and tighten my settings! I am a fan!

Domo provides good analytics and reports

    Date: Jan 03 2023

Summary: Domo has helped us make use of our data in a smart way, it has given us the place to study and analyze our data in an easy way, and the road to understand this software was not difficult at all. It is being used to get constant reports on the state of different aspects of our business, a variety of metrics that it allows us to analyze and understand better, it is a software that has kept us updated on the state of our business and how well it is doing, in the sales area, in the campaigns that we create to build more engagement from customers, the products that we sell, the efficiency in which we work, the overall satisfaction of our clients, all of these aspects are things that we are able to analyze with Domo, because even though it has its own limitations, it still allows us to do all of this up to a great level and it provides great and very innovative reports that are easy to understand and are delivered in an automated way once scheduled. Domo has given us the possibility to track all our data and know where we stand in terms of progress, it has been a great ally in providing helpful translation of the data into the amazing graphics and the understanding of them has been very simple and not difficult at all. It has been the main software when it comes to giving us knowledge and when it comes to our marketing campaigns, Domo tracks all the data given by us and it sorts it out and simplifies it in order to provide the easiest and most intuitive way to graph it, it is our objective and purpose to understand if our campaigns are working and what aspects of it people find more engaging, and with Domo we are able to track all these metrics since the beginning up until the very end of the campaigns with so much easiness and efficiency like no other, it brings all our data together and allows us to know it better when creating graphics of them to make the information easier to digest and not complicated to understand, it is a software that allows us to make better decisions and plan out future projects in a smart and decisive way knowing that all of our past mistakes with different campaigns won't be repeated and we can bring more great content and products for our clients, raising their engagement with our business.

Positive: Domo is a software that is great to have because of its amazing implementation and configuration of the data. It is currently a software with many capabilities that help understand the data in an efficient way in the form of graphs and reports that are easy to read. There are many tools that are great to use in Domo, but the most relevant ones definitely are, firstly, is the reporting capabilities that the software has, it allows us to have constant insights on our data in real time, because these can be automated and delivered to our team at the right time without us needing to generate each report individually, the software takes care of this aspect which is something I enjoy a lot. It is possible to have the reports be customized and shown in different ways than the usual report and that aspect is helpful to make the reports more intuitive and make better presentations of these in order to reach more people to understand the data. Secondly, I like the fact that Domo prioritizes security over anything else, it has the option to limit access to those members who are not allowed to see different kinds of information and provides a sense of hierarchy that every business should have, it is easy to customize access and provide things like passwords to different data files that are stored in the software; additionally, the data is encrypted so we can use the software peacefully without feeling scared of losing anything or getting hacked and getting all our precious and vital information robbed, a business is just like a human and we can't treat the data lightly, we should be careful and choose a nice software that will care for it. Thirdly, because it updates in real time and we are constantly getting reports on it, Domo has the ability to send out notifications via email and devices to know when the data has changed, this allows us to pay more attention to the changes that happen inside our business and how the metrics are changing in a bad or good way, allowing us to respond to these changes very quickly and not miss out any important event that might be happening, these alerts are very customizable and can be set for every type of data or only set it up for specific data, which makes it even better as we are able to be aware of our own projects that we are working on and each member can be only aware of what they need to be aware of without any distractions or unimportant data to them crowding their notifications and dashboard, it is an useful tool that I find myself using a lot just to keep track of my own projects inside the business.

Negative: In my opinion, Domo still has a long road to go before becoming an exceptional software. This is because I find that the graphical part of the software is not as developed as it needs to be and they should really include more options when it comes to the creation of graphs to include more analytical power and more organized data into the graphs. For me, Domo lacks in this area and the tools are not really optimized for the customization of the graphs, it is a bit limited and it does not feel like they are taking advantage of the possibilities that the software has, it is capable of doing so much more but as of right not they have not updated and improved the creation of the graphs, I would like to have total control over the data and display it in a way that is more advantageous and use different data to build different sets of graphs that work together in a comparative way, it is an essential need to have this kind of tool but Domo only offers limited tools that do not go very far than providing only the superficial aspects of a graphical software, it would be good to go in so much more depth and upgrade the graphs tools to provide a better experience for the users and ensure that the data is being analyzed the right way. Also, it takes a good bandwidth connection to be able to use the software, usually we do have a good bandwidth connection so it does not present as an issue to us, but I think that it would be really nice if it could be optimized to be able to be used in a not so good connection, that way if we happen to use Domo on the go and we don't have a good connection as in our workplace, we can still use and create graphs.

Very easy to use and good for BI work

    Date: Nov 30 2022

Summary: Overall, it is a flexible BI platform that is worth taking a look and trial run. As mentioned, Domo favors group efforts but the challenge would be to unify all users in learning how to create reports interactively. Users should be educated before full-scale deployment.

Data science team would be valuable and almost necessary for QC vetting. Overall, a robust product that also includes good online support.

Positive: Easy to understand the workflow.
Very versatile integration with other SW and data source sets.
The communication and messaging amongst users is a nifty feature and comes in handy on group efforts.

Negative: Seems like the wait for processing of data experiences a memory hog as it is a bit slow. Could be the dataset sizes that we used.
Excel seems to have a better pivot table.

    Domo Review

    Date: Nov 30 2022

Summary: Overall, I've been able to really utilize Domo to help me in my job. I pull numbers and statistics daily to modify our product offering, price points and provide suggestions based on our trends. It also saves me hours worth of work from trying to piece together information from different data sets.

Positive: It is fairly robust and allows a lot of opportunity for customization. Able to pull in many different data sets from multiple different types of systems and standardize the reading of that information in one platform.

Negative: It may be the way my company is deploying it but it seems to be slightly limited on flexibility. Which it is hard to standardize everything but should allow to identify anomalies and outliers a bit better.

    Use of Domo

    Date: Nov 30 2022

Summary: I will continue using this program to become more proficient, track data and present to staff in the clinic.

Positive: I like how we can get statistics so easy, and use that data in our preparation of reports, addressing patient's referrals, and making sure the patients have completed their appointments, how our clinics are doing with patient satisfaction, tracking trends etc.

Negative: It takes a little time for the program to reflect holds for patients.

DOMO an easy tool for building charts and dashboards

    Date: Nov 30 2022

Summary: I have been DOMO daily to monitor our internal metrics and present them to the leadership team. One pretty attractive thing is the ease of use and navigation. DOMO provides easy customizations and helps in building charts or dashboards as per our needs with a highly interactive user interface.

    Positive: Ease of use.
    Customization and presentable content.
Dashboards and charts building feature with minimal data.

Negative: Could provide more integrations with Slack and other platforms.
Could provide more capabilities of charts.

Powerful, Innovative, Easy to Build, Use, and Communicate Our Most Important KPIs

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Domo is embedded in our business and we rely on Domo throughout the business. They have been great partners to us and it has been satisfying to see the product mature over the years.

Positive: Perhaps the best aspect of Domo is that it is 100% cloud-based for both data storage, processing, and visualization. It is also very performant and incredibly fast as processing large datasets.

Every department in our company uses the product for their essential reporting, as do many of our external customers. The ease of communicating essential data is excellent.

Negative: Domo's base price is relatively high. Fortunately, the base package is quite powerful and can provide a good experience on standard reporting. I do wish that additional features like data science and goals were available to us at a lower cost. Both switching to the all-inclusive usage model or purchasing additional capabilities as add-ons are more than our budget allows for now.

    2. Easy to learn

    4. Report performance is for large datasets is better compared to other tools

Negative: It does its job as expected, but Price should be reduced.

    Reliable Visualization Platform

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Overall I rate Domo a 4/5, it is comparable to other visualization platforms like Tableau, although there are a few things I would change. Overall I enjoy the easy user experience and mostly self-explanatory features, as well as the color scheme.

Positive: -Many ways to visualize data
-Easy user experience, easy to figure out how to do something if you do not already know
-I think the side ribbon is nice and very easy to navigate
-Amount of training available on Domo University is very helpful in learning the platform

Negative: -Can't edit data within Domo
-Lack of options to filter the data within the data tab
-Wish it were easier to create formulas under the visualization tool, there is a certain way the formula has to be formatted that does not make sense to me

    Very easy to use

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: We're very happy with Domo overall. We rely on it for general reporting, and it's also allowed us to do deep data dives to put out some fires.

Positive: Domo is an easy entry point for someone new to data analysis (compared to something like Tableau), but it's just as powerful as any other. We mainly use the Salesforce data connector, which works smoothly. There are lots of connectors to choose from.

Negative: The support team can take a few days to respond, and it's not always easy to google specific questions.

    Great Product, Bad Support

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Overall, aside from all of the issues that we have had over the last 3 years with Domo, it is still very easy to navigate and develop inside of. When it's working, all of the connections are correct, and you aren't waiting on support to resolve an issue, you are left with a very sleek and powerful B.I. product that I would recommend to any large company. For any small business, I would probably send them toward a cheaper alternative.

Positive: Easy to build dashboards for easy-to-read data analytics. Easy to send off scheduled reports to staff. Data can be set up to auto-update upon upload, which will auto-update all of the cards (graphs and analytics) upon upload as well. Once your dashboards are setup, the data and analytics are all essentially sell sufficient at that point making future reference as quick as your internet will allow.

Negative: Tech Support is next to nonexistent. We have had data upload connection issues over the past few years (more than twice a year outside of our control) that took Tech Support upwards of almost 20 days to resolve to leave us essentially down for a whole month (which we had already paid for and did not receive any proration or reimbursement on). I've opened support tickets for the simplest of issues that took over a week to even hear a response from support, let alone a solution.

Domo is pricey for what it is and for a small business (fewer than 100 employees), there is plenty of other B.I. software that would replicate Domo's results at a much cheaper price point.

The biggest issue we have had though- in the last 3 years of using Domo, we have had 5 account reps. Every other quarter, it seems that Domo tosses their accounts between their reps, resulting in our rep never completely understanding our instance of the product and how we use it. This leaves the account rep essentially useless when we need to resolve a major issue, thus sending us back to the customer support line, which again, takes forever to hear back from.

    The Data Vacuum

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Excellent experience with the product. I would highly recommend to manufacturing businesses that need to monitor every aspect of their process as a process design engineer between this and Minitab I am able to query and analyze data in ways I would have never been able to before.

Positive: I love being able to tie in and access data from our custom software and databases in one location. The ability to tie into custom software and pull information so easily is really great. As an engineer, it is necessary to tell the whole story for making decisions and this is a great tool for accessing that story.

Negative: Sometimes for new users, it is hard to navigate, but that is easily overcome with training and getting your hands dirty. Other than that I don't have any issues with the software other than light blue on white for the logo is a bit dull and washed out but that is a minor problem of preference.

    Innovative and User-Friendly

    Date: Nov 29 2022

Summary: Generally speaking, I'd recommend DOMO to anyone. I've built over 1,000 cards and 50 dashboards and have always found ways to present the data to serve business needs. I've seen monumental improvements and enhancements to the application over the past 3 years, in terms of both quality of life and technical offerings, and I'm excited to see what's on the horizon for years to come!

Positive: There is a wide variety of visualizations to choose from and the entry-level analyst could pick up on the build concepts fairly quickly. I love the flexibility offered by the beast mode and segment functions, and the enhancements made to the transformation options (Magic ETL, Redshift, MySQL). Overall, DOMO is a great BI tool for an enterprise of any size and offers many different opportunities to scale data & analytic offerings with its add-on features.

Negative: As with any BI tool, there are limitations to how the data can be presented, and bugs from time to time that can be frustrating to navigate around. The customer support has been great, but using the Campaigns app has been an overall poor experience and has not met the advertised expectations.
