Domo Reviews

Summary: Been using product as a solo project in a first-to-company role. Definitely a product that has helped with visualization and client-facing presentations. We only send Microsoft Office presentations, so the idea is this product will heighten client relationships in digesting data.

Positive: Very visual and easy to digest. In beginning presentations to managers and leadership, they have been happy and excited for future.

Negative: Sort of hard to figure out tables, wish I could group like in Tableau.

Summary: Domo has been a new tool to me.
I am familiar with Tableau & Looker but Domo doesn't skip a beat when compared to those two products.

Positive: Customizable.
A ton of plug-ins available.
Good visual & chart types available.
Customer Support Team is Great.
Scheduling of Reports & Dashboards.

Negative: Can be tricky to learn initially but once you get your feet beneath you, it is smooth sailing.

Summary: Overall it meets our needs, though I would like to see enhancements to users ability to change cards or views of cards for just themselves. For instance, we build an enterprise report on company wide instock % but my camping merchant might want to add or remove fields to the stacked bar chart but he does not have access to Analyzer (those changes would need to be saved and impact the card for everyone, saving a copy of the card inflates the number of cards in the instance). I'd like to see expanded functionality beyond adding filters like changing the card type and adding and removing fields for temporary views and analysis.

Positive: Automates reports that can easily be shared across the company so it is good for reporting KPIs and keeping us on the same page with our KPI definitions.

Negative: Cards struggle to render correctly on large datasets causing routine timeouts. Also it is irritating in Analyzer when a change to a field in the dataset breaks a card and it's a guessing game as to which filed got renamed or removed. DOMO know which filed is being called on in the card that it can't find in the dataset under the hood, so just tell me instead of making me figure it out!!!

Summary: Overall, I am pleased with Domo and eager to learn what we will allow it to do next! (I am sure my company is throttling how much information Domo shares at once?!

Positive: I enjoy the daily updates via many options - I chose text! And I know important changes as they happen!

Negative: Sometimes I get too many messages telling me the same thing... I am quite certain I can go into my Domo account and tighten my settings! I am a fan!
