The Diode Network uses a Blockchain Name System, a smart-contract-based decentralized Domain Name System. This allows for the association of a human-recognisable name with a Diode Network account. A BNS name can be used to replace an address if it is configured for that address. Configuring a BNS name for an address is a significant event.
