Summary: Overall, I have had a great experience using Datasite over the past four years and do not plan on switching from it going forward.

Positive: Variety of analytical tools and insights offered in simplified dashboards, with the ability to dig deeper into certain areas.

Negative: Very few material negatives, if any. The Q&A feature is not as efficient as party to party email question and answers.

Summary: Best VDR platform available. Have used multiple on the buyside (hosted by sell side) and our preference is always Datasite.

Positive: Ease of use for members across the organization. Datasite also provides multiple training options for new users.

Negative: Billing processes can be convoluted with multiple projects.

Summary: I enjoyed using Datasite Dilligence and will almost definitely use it for future projects where I need to host / manage large volumes of data. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a similar solution!

Positive: Seamless, intuitive user interface which was easily used by all members of our team.

Negative: I cannot think of any immediate cons. We used the software for a project that lasted 3+ months, and in that time we did not receive any negative feedback from any stakeholders involved.

Summary: My overall experience with Datasite has been positive. We recommend the use of Datasite for all advisory clients.

Positive: Datasite has the most intuitive platform and the best customer service (available 24/7) compared to any other virtual data room provider which I have used.

Negative: The service is expensive, and leaves little room for flexibility if projects go over the expected timeframe.

Summary: Been using this for more than 8 years and I continue to recommend Datasite to clients. The interface is top notch and the ability to download information is quicker (and easier vs. other sites).

5. Unique Customisation Features: The VDR allows customization to tailor permissions and security levels to match your working requirements.

Negative: 1. Subscription Cost: The cost appears on the higher side compared to a few other VDR providers with similar features.

Summary: I would recommend Datasite for projects especially ones with large volumes of documents. I have never had any problems using Datasite and the customer service team are very useful if you are unsure of everything.

Positive: It is very easy to use and the redaction AI tool is great for when large volumes of documents need redacting. Additionally, the feature which allows you to see the most recent documents uploaded is very useful and it is quick and easy to preview and download documents.

Negative: It is expensive compared to other similar products on the market.

Summary: Overall, Datasite is in my opinion the best VDR on the market and the support of the Datasite team is also great

Positive: The Datasite user interface is by far the cleanest and most easy to use of all providers I had to work with so far. Navigating is easy and the text search is powerful. The Q&A function is well designed which makes reading the answers much easier to read and also comprehend.

Negative: Datasite is one of the pricier options on the market for VDRs

Summary: Overall, the platform provides a good value proposition for the pricing it charges, I have continued to use the Datasite platform across multiple projects.

Positive: I found the support team to be very strong when I required assistance with troubleshooting on the platform. I also understand the pricing is very competitive relative to peers with similar offerings. The layout is also very simple and aesthetically pleasing.

Negative: The platform itself can be difficult to navigate between folders and various aspects of the website. I also found the features to be somewhat lower than other peers with similar offerings.

Summary: Overall very positive. Datasite is the clear leader in the space when it comes to quality of the VDR, features and customer support.

If they were able to be more competitive on pricing it would be a clear winner every time.

Positive: 1. Most features vs. peers
2. Best customer support vs. peers (24/7 support with people who are willing and able to assist you / carry out VDR tasks on your behalf)

Negative: 1. More expensive than peers. This often makes it harder to pitch to clients, especially those unfamiliar with VDRs.

Summary: No other changes other than the comments made above. Continued development and timing of the platform will enable broader adoption and increased efficiencies across banks.

Positive: Ease of back and forth with potential clients/investors. Diligence is a key pain point in the M&A process and features like this allow time to be saved.

Negative: Adaptability, and ability to convince other members of a deal team to use it especially when deal timelines are tight. This may not be the fault of the program and could be just a timing factor the longer the feature is available.

Summary: Great product that continues to be our preferred data room. Wish we could go back to previous version prior to updates though.
