    Overall a Great Product

    Date: Jan 20 2022

Summary: I'm happy with ConvertKit, and look forward to using it for all of my email-sending needs. It's fairly simple to use, and works great as a medium for reaching my readers.

Positive: ConvertKit is a great, affordable alternative to the pricier programs such as Mailchimp, offering a way to connect with my readers.

Negative: Sadly, it doesn't offer as many bells and whistles as Mailchimp, but for the price, it's well worth it.

    Powerful but expensive

    Date: Mar 09 2022

Summary: I have tried quite a few of the more prominent newsletter providers, and ConvertKit has a mix of good and bad. If you're just getting started and need a cheap way to send a newsletter while protecting your address, ConvertKit is for you. Just know that there are no automations available and the interface can be hard to learn. Once you start to pay, you get a lot more tools, but you pay a high premium for them compared to other newsletter services.

Positive: One of the only large newsletter service providers who offer you the ability to use their physical address as your own. They will then virtually scan and email you anything you receive. A nice way to protect your privacy without paying for an additional service or PO Box. Once you're a paid user, it has some powerful tools for automating your email campaigns.

Negative: This is a very expensive service. ConvertKit costs even more than Mailchimp and far more than MailerLite. I know I said they give you a free virtual mail service above, but having your own PO Box would still come out cheaper. The interface is fairly difficult to learn how to use--much harder than MailerLite, for example.
