    Summary: Have been using ClipMate since 1991. The dev (Thornsoft) quit in 2013 but it still works well. I keep threatening to abandon Windows in favor of Linux but a small handful of apps prevents me from doing so. Am currently seeking the best alternatives to ClipMate.

    Positive: Scalability & Management. $35 one time investment. One can create an unlimited number of subfolders and choose from an abundance of available icons for each one. Easily strip formats, change case, append text, export screenshots, resequence sort keys, spell-check, and perform file management.

    Negative: Only available for Windows. I don't know what else I can add here.

    Summary: Could not be better!

    Positive: I have been using ClipMate for almost 20 years. The database is complete. I can easily access clips I copied way back then. I have NO complaints for this brilliant program!

    Negative: I don't like that the developer has not ported ClipMate to ChromeOS or Linux.
