Ubuntu Touch is a mobile-friendly version of Ubuntu's operating system for mobile devices. It is not a 'flavor' of Ubuntu. Instead, it is an extract from parts of Ubuntu. It can be used in touch-screen environments, but it can also function as a desktop computer in "desktop mode". This converging environment from one device to another is what gives rise to the term "Convergence".
