Game-Changer for any hospitality business! Date: Apr 20 2023
Summary: Bookinglayer has been a game-changer for our surf resort. It has allowed us to streamline our booking process and manage incoming and existing bookings with ease. The platform is incredibly user-friendly and offers a range of features that make our lives so much easier. Capturing online payments is essential for us, and Bookinglayer's integration with various payment processing firms has been a huge help. We particularly appreciate the ability to set flexible and dynamic rates based on popularity or season, even though we don't use it a lot. Overall, we highly recommend Bookinglayer to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient booking software.
Positive: Easy to capture all necessary details when guests make a reservation- User-friendly platform with many useful features for managing bookings- Online bookings streamline our business and save time- Seamless integration with various payment processing firms for capturing online payments- Offers flexible and dynamic rates based on popularity or season- Direct integrations with Stripe, Xendit, Mollie, and more- Automatic invoicing and connection with Xero
Negative: There is no mobile app or helpful mobile version. Also the pricing is on the higher side of the medium range, however the functionalities that you get in return are more then worth it.

Good Platform, Some Key Limitations Date: Mar 26 2026
Summary: Booking Layer offers a solid foundation with an easy setup and responsive support team. However, improvements in integrations, partner-access features, and more proactive coordination with third-party providers would significantly enhance the overall experience.
Positive: The platform interface is straightforward and easy to navigate for daily operations.
The early setup process is confusing, not enough support by that time, but it gets better now that the support team responds quickly and is generally helpful when contacted.Negative: Some features still require adjustment and refinement to better support operational needs.

Currently, there is no XML calendar feature to provide live schedule updates to partners without granting them full login access. This creates operational limitations when collaborating with external partners.
Ongoing payment integration issues between Booking Layer and Xendit remain unresolved despite extended communication efforts.
Although the Booking Layer team has been included in email threads, responses are often directed only to us rather than replying directly to Xendit, which make it not possible for further discussion regarding troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues. -

Booking Layer Date: Feb 16 2026
Summary: Overall its great. I just need to figure out how to tweak it for our use. But we do need support and that is where it can be lacking. They aren't a huge company and they do their best.
Positive: It is a professional looking program, that integrates well with the payment provider and offers great guest management with the customer portal.
It has automated client messaging which is really helpful.
They are always looking ahead to make it better and they do a 6 month check in to see how you are doing.Negative: Sometimes the links in the automated messaging don't work. Not sure why.

Doesn't integrate well with Canadian multiple taxes. It is a European system so some things about are not that user friendly for N. American use, including support.
Its pretty time consuming to set up
Support is good but not that quick. Phone support would be great.\
