Basilisk Description

A XUL-based web browser that demonstrates the Unified XUL Platform. This browser operates in a similar way to pre-Servo Firefox. Basilisk is a web browser that uses Open Source XUL and is free to use. It features the familiar Firefox-style interface and operation. It is based upon the Goanna layout, rendering engine (a fork from Gecko), and built on the Unified XUL Platform(UXP), which is a fork the Mozilla code base without Servo and Rust. Basilisk is primarily a reference software for the development of XUL platform, which it builds upon. It could also be used as a replacement for Firefox. Basilisk is software for development. It should be considered more or lesser "beta" at any time; it may have bugs and is provided as-is with potential defects. It is provided as-is, just like any other free software project.
