Summary: Dangerous. Avoid at all costs.

Positive: Nothing.

Negative: This program slows down performance significantly and interrupts WiFi constantly. MiniTool hides its treachery very well; it doesn't even show up in task manager processes or startup so you don't even know it's running. Overall, MiniTool is a malicious-virus like software that shouldn't have a place on anyone's PC.

Summary: Warning! Run!!! Stay as far away from MiniTool products as you possibly can!! It will cost you many, many hours of your time and possibly your data as well.

Update: It turns out the excess disk usage was due to a .txt log file created in the Minitool folder that was over 100 Gbs!! My system seems to be stable so far. I ended up using an Acronis True Image 2015 Boot CD to backup and clone the drive and the whole process only took a few minutes with no issues. No software installation required. Any program that uses the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) for disk migration is to me very undesirable.

Still the fact remains that MiniTool ShadowMaker is the worst backup program I have used and is a total fail. And for that, I'm out.

Positive: Nothing. This program is total garbage. A backup program that leaves you with no backup and a damaged system. Unbelievable! A backup is suppose to be your protection, not a catastrophe in and of itself.

Negative: Prepared my new system got everything the way I wanted it and was ready to clone system to SSD. The program had no disclosure of what it was going to do or how it was going to do it. Why did it need to WRITE to the source drive, at all?? The most idiotic thing I have ever heard of. This horrible program corrupted the SOURCE drive. The used space on the disk kept growing bigger and bigger, 4 times bigger. After 5 hours I had to kill the process. Chkdsk /f won't remove the many gigabytes it added to the drive. Also my restore points are now all gone. The clone was unsuccessful.

Summary: Bad Program/Tool.
It's useless, total waste of time, there are lot of good alternatives, even free.

Positive: There are only cons, no pros, when you fail to restore the system from image created by this tool.. Stay Away from it.

Negative: This software can make "system backup" of "drive c+system reserve" when your windows is running, from desktop, but when you try to restore it does not work, even i created "Add boot entry", but it failed, reason is hard disk is same, my Backup was saved in "drive d", but this tool failed.

Summary: Uck. Aarrgh.

Positive: This programme totally Trashed my Windows 10 Laptop.
I installed - which was not straight forward and took a couple of tries.
I started the programme, and when it Rebooted my system, It could not Boot. I tried everything to rescue my nice working system. In the end I had to admit defeat and load a previous Win 10 disk image from last summer.
So Thanks, Minitool!

Negative: Disaster.
