Great 3D Printer & File Management Software

    Date: Jan 27 2021

Summary: Highly recommend this software for newbies as well as experienced users. It will be a great addition to any 3d printer.

Positive: Fantastic interface, great little hardware in the AstroPrint box, frequent bug fixes and updates. If the idea of Octoprint sounds good to you, but the implementation was not so great, then AstroPrint is for you. It's easy enough to put on a raspberry pi, free if you do it that way too, and gives you 3d printer super powers. Print from iOS, print with a web browser, from anywhere, and watch and stop it too. Only thing you can't do remotely is clean off the print bed.

Negative: Honestly, there is nothing that they haven't fixed in the two or three years since I started using the software. I use it less now, but that's not their fault, I am just not 3d printing as much anymore. Only when I need something. Too busy with other stuff.

    Great Design Challenging At Times

    Date: Sep 12 2021

Summary: Overall, my experience has been positive and I've been able to find work arounds for any issues. However, anytime I've emailed for support, it's always always been the same thing - short one to two sentence answers that don't solve anything. Those I've recommended AstroPrint to have gotten the same results from customer support.

Positive: Interface is solid and well designed.
    Consistently produces good results.
    Good number of supported printers.

    Negative: Setup has challenges.
Cura Slicer included is limited in options.
Customer Support is horrid. Expect a short, incomplete response that doesn't really try to help you solve your issue. It's pretty obvious, they are more interested in being done with you than really understanding or solving your problem.
Would not recommend this for those not experienced with 3D printing or networking.
