Arc Description
Arc is not just a web browser; it represents a comprehensive solution for all your online needs in a single interface. Although our usage of the internet has advanced significantly, the basic structure of browsers has largely remained stagnant. In contrast to the ongoing improvements in other software—where we see enhanced collaboration, adaptable designs, and robust features—browsers still function similarly to how they did a quarter-century ago. Additionally, we often hold ourselves accountable for the limitations of our browsing experiences. If we find ourselves overwhelmed by countless tabs, we label ourselves as inefficient; when we lose focus online, we chastise ourselves for lacking self-control; and if we struggle to locate a specific URL, we perceive ourselves as disorganized. So, why does the browser escape scrutiny? This is the motivation behind the creation of Arc, a browser designed to exceed the traditional expectations and truly empower users. We envision a browser that can process information as swiftly as we think, alleviate our workload, and enhance our creative expression. Ultimately, Arc aims to redefine the browsing experience to better align with our modern digital lives.

Greatest update to browsing experience in years Date: Nov 03 2023
Summary: Cloud 9. I've said everything I want to say and more above. If you're still reading and not downloading this --- look inward and ask yourself, "why?"
Positive: Company made amazing UI choices that make other browsers feel dated. I've been using an extension like spaces for years, but this feature is now built in and way better execution. Hold alt when you click and links open a split pain. All my chrome extensions work. Bookmarks can become tab spaces. Tab spaces can become bookmark folders. (Allows unpacking bookmarks into organized tab collections). You can save page layouts. If you hate a page's design, you can boost it -- changing colors, fonts, or even code permanently. You can share spaces, bookmark folders.
Negative: None. All of Chrome's features and more. I've had zero hiccups. I only hate that I can't use it at work on my Linux machine, but makes sense because they wrote it in MacOS swift language. It does feel very responsive though because swift has nice llvm optimizations.

Arc is really innovative Edited: Dec 19 2022
Summary: Terrific browser. It has everything you need with substantially less clutter. Once you figure out how to use all features, I wouldn't use another browser.
Positive: Difficult to get used to at the start because it is so different than customary browsers, but terrific speed and customization.
Negative: No added themes, had to add a speed dial page in order to get any type of background on the homepage. Also, too many steps to share webpages with another person.
