Additive Works offers software solutions that aim to achieve a "first time-right" additive manufacturing process. This is achieved by integrating new analysis tools and simulation tools into the process chain for Laser Beam Melting processes (LBM/SLM/DMLS, Metal 3D Printing). The current needs and challenges of industrial additive manufacturing drove the development of the software suite Amphyon. It aims to reduce pre-processing costs, and to take metal AM to the next stage of automation. The ASAP-Principle outlines four steps that will lead to a stable, reliable, and efficient process chain: Simulation, Adaption, Assessment, and the Process itself. On the Assessment stage, we can calculate both the limitations and the optimal orientations by examining all possible buildups in relation to the economic and physical aspects.
