AdAway Description

AdAway is an Android ad blocker that uses the host's file. AdAway is completely open-source and licensed under GPLv3+. You can easily add your own hosts files! You can add exceptions to your whitelist or blocklist as well as rules for redirects. AdAway won't work reliably on Mobile Networks such as 3G. You can deactivate the proxy by going to your chosen APN and removing any value in the proxy field. As a workaround, enable AdAway's local Webserver. To redirect blocked DNS requests to China, add redirection lists in your host's source. This hosts source contains redirection guidelines for Google, Facebook, or other. AdAway version 4 is recommended for devices older than Android 8 Oreo.
