Accounting Seed Reviews

Summary: We are in the process of implementing Sage Intacct and will be discontinuing use of Accounting Seed once that is completed.

Positive: Price. Very inexpensive.
Salesforce integration
Avalara integration.
It is difficult to think of positive things to say about Accounting Seed.

Negative: Lack of reporting.
Poor ease of use.
Not flexible.
Does not work well for ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Does not integrate with Ramp.

Summary: Not very satisfied.
We use multiple currencies and AS has restricted us in many ways.
Things can go wrong very easily between SO, PO, Billings and Payables.

Positive: Accounting Seed is Built on Salesforce.

Negative: AS is unable to handle some very basic accounting tasks. Examples:
Can't refund customer credits in foreign currency.
Can only run quarterly financial statements (Our accounting period is QTR)
To receive FX customer payments, we have to post the CR, then unpost and edit the rate. There is no currency field on cash receipts.
And many more...

Summary: This system has potential but it was not created by accountants and therefore some functionality is missing.

Positive: Relatively easy to search for customers and orders, can set up custom reports with relative ease; favorite reports created by other users can be accessed to gain efficiencies.

Negative: Clunky and not streamlined views of customer records, including orders; sometimes hard to find needed transactions; sometimes I have to do a lot of clicking to find what I need.

Summary: We've been using it for over a year and have yet to get a good customized financial statement out of it.

Positive: Highly customizable.

Negative: Extremely difficult to customize.

Summary: Not a lot of waiting for assistance. Prompt response to my situation was given. Accurate directions.

Positive: Clear and step by step directions as to how to resolve the problem. I did not have Admin rights but as soon as the employee with Admin rights followed the instructions, all was resolved.

Negative: I have nothing negative to say about the service.

Summary: Overall it is very user friendly, but the releases cause hiccups and it is lagging some when posting.

Positive: I like the options that are available now with the new release-- in particular AR and AP options that will available to automate that process.

Negative: I do not like that we have to configure buttons after releases. I do not like the change with payable lines and prefer the screen to mass add/delete rows. The new version of doing this add times to select the pencil to edit rather than tab over to each item.

Also it takes time and or needing to be refreshed in order to see cash receipts or the balance due on a billing.

Summary: Great product if your org is on Salesforce. Just being available on the platform alone unlocks so many opportunities.

Positive: We run most of our business on Salesforce which made Accounting Seed so attractive, as it's native to the Salesforce platform. The implementation team was great to work with and the development team is very transparent in their development roadmap, and are very receptive to product enhancement suggestions.

Negative: Accounting Seed works great for our purposes, but the most glaring weakness is currently its reporting, which is well known by the Accounting Seed team and is currently receiving a rework. However, until that is fixed, I cannot give them a 5 star rating as reporting is integral to any accounting software. With that being said, the fact that this is on the Salesforce platform alone is enough to warrant a look.

Summary: The experience to resolve the issue was generally satisfactory, however Accounting Seed is frequently counter intuitive to generally accepted accounting principles.

Positive: Dean was able to resolve our issue quickly and efficiently with just several contacts back and forth to help us regain the ability to post cash receipts and disbursements.

Negative: There was no notification that the update was processed and there may be issues with

Summary: The support from accounting seed has been easy and very helpful in most cases. I have seen many improvements an additions since purchased that became very helpful.

Positive: The ease of creating reports is extremely helpful and useful. The graphs are very useful for presentations.

Negative: Certain accounting reports are not included in accounting seed package. As an accounting program certain reports must be included as mandatory.

Summary: Overall it is a great product, just fix the applying of payments issue said in the "Cons" section.

Positive: Easy to use, links everything, great storage capabilities. It also runs reports with ease with endless possibilities on how to run said reports.

Negative: Can't un-apply payments that were done in a previous closed period without having to re-open all periods to get to that one. This shouldn't be a thing.

Summary: 4 out of 5 stars.
Wish it was more service provider friendly. Awaiting cash basis release.
Interested in more bookkeeper training.

Positive: If it were not for accounting seed integration and customizability, we wouldn't have the financial tracking and billing capabilities we have.

Negative: However, the cost of customization and maintenance is expensive, and hard to come by. Staff training is not easy either.

Summary: Overall, were it not for the pricing, I have liked everything that I carry out with Accounting Seed from cash flow management to inventory control.

Positive: It has easy to create and forward invoices to respective clients with Accounting Seed.
I like that it is effective to automate both Account Receivable and Account Payable with this tool.

Negative: It is highly expensive to acquire an account as it is billed at $55 per month.

Summary: Overall, accounting Seed is an amazing and incredible accounting system. Availability of customer support team is an added advantage.

Positive: I like how accounting Seed support provides quick replies. It is very easy to use and provides incredible features that are easy to learn and understand. Also, accounting Seed is very easy to navigate and customize.

Negative: So far so good. We haven't experienced any challenges while using accounting Seed.

Summary: Accounting Seed is an advanced and unique accounting and financial management system. They have a great and supportive team and their services are top notch.

Positive: Accounting Seed is a superb and excellent tool for accounting and financial management. Their customer support team responds quick when you contact them, i I'm able to contact them and get a response fast.

Negative: I don't have anything as a dislike about Accounting Seed. It meets all our expectations and i highly recommend it.

Summary: Accounting Seed is a solid and exceptional tool for accounting and financial management. The customer support team has always been ready and available to help.

Positive: I like Accounting Seed because it makes accounting and financial management easier and faster. Having it built on Salesforce frameworks also it means that in unusual case where the support is taking longer than expected to respond, then i can find my answers just by googling which saves a lot of time.

Negative: Since we started using Accounting Seed until today i have never experienced any challenges so nothing to dislike about it.
