Summary: Immensely frustrating and stressful. The payroll process is extremely long as after doing all of the work for the payroll, someone at ADP has to go and re-enter all of the information. They ask for a week lead time so if you have a you have to submit everything 15 days in advance. This is problematic as things come through every payroll after submission and get missed, then need to be added retroactively to the next payroll.
To add to this, after ADP does the processing, you get 1-2 days to review their work. This is the hard part as you have to check everything, since ADP does the entire payroll manually you don't know where human error will strike. Even after wasting a full day just checking problems still sneak through, people don't get paid.Positive: Celergo is a weird middleware product that really doesn't do much, it's basically just a database + a file management system. What you are really paying for is a team of underpaid and overworked ADP employees who do all the real work. The way this product works (ideally) is you upload all your payroll information to this file system and then the ADP worker's take it and manually feed all that info into another system that does all the calculations.
Negative: Since everything is done manually by ADP, you have no idea where the errors will be. Payroll is a cumulative process, the only reason it is manageable is because most things don't change from each pay to the next so when reviewing you just need to look at the things that did change. With Celergo, you need to review EVERYTHING, the ADP workers make a ton of mistakes or simply don't understand what is provided to them and do not review their work.

The Joke about Celergo is that the back end systems they use to run the payroll are also available to retail clients, and they work much better for much less money. In Canada for example, the back end system is ADP Work Force Now which is a vastly superior system available for far cheaper.
