The discrimiNAT provides a solution for the inability to define hostnames or fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) within Google Cloud Firewall Rules and AWS Security Groups, enabling effective scalable egress filtering. The pfSense project provides a free network firewall distribution. It is based on FreeBSD's operating system with a custom kernel. Third-party free software packages are also included.
