Since 2020, VisualEditor has been accessible to all users on MediaWiki.org and is also available on nearly all versions of Wikipedia and Wikivoyage. For many other Wikimedia projects and languages, it functions as an optional Beta Feature for logged-in users. Although VisualEditor is accessible in certain namespaces, such as the main namespace, it is typically not available in discussion or template namespaces.
